The Word of God holds the answers for child rearing. No matter

how old or how young, whether you have children at this time or

not, a study of the Scriptures teaching on raising kids is profitable.

Heed God’s Words about training the hearts of your children in this

day of parental passiveness and apathy. Read Scripture alone, listen

for the Holy Spirit prompting you how to apply God’s Word. May

God bless you! This minibook does not list all the Scriptures in the exact order that they

appear in the Bible. Our intention is to encourage the reader to engage and really

contemplate the Scriptures. How can you apply what you’re reading to your life?

How do you see God’s Word showing us the root of the problems of feminism,

latchkey kids, rebellious youth, and broken families in the Word? What are the

solutions? What is God’s design for the family and each member in it? I pray that

as you read the Scriptures, you engage them and that the Holy Spirit teaches you.

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul,

Deuteronomy 6:5-9

as all this law, which I set before you this day? 9 Only take heed to thyself, and

keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and

lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and

thy sons' sons; 10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in

Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will

make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they

shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

Deuteronomy 4:1-10

When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he

shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. 12 Gather

the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within

thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your

God, and observe to do all the words of this law: 13 And that their children, which

have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long

Deuteronomy 31:11-13

honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the

indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever:

but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour,

and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 31 Behold, the days come, that I

will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an

old man in thine house. 32 And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the

wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine

house for ever. 33 And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar,

shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of

thine house shall die in the flower of their age. 34 And this shall be a sign unto

thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they

shall die both of them. 35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do

according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a

sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever. 36 And it shall come

to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a

piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of

the priests' offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in

their heart; and they have not known my ways. 11 So I sware in my wrath, They

shall not enter into my rest.) 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an

evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another

daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the

deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the

beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye

will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. 16 For some,

when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by

Moses. 17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had

sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom sware he that they

should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19 So we see that they

could not enter in because of unbelief.
