Talking About Children’s Mental Health http://frameworksinstitute.org/toolkits/cmh/ In 2008, FrameWorks Institute began a multi-year study of American thinking about child and family mental health. Seed funding for this project was provided by the Endowment for Health (NH) and extended by a major grant from the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University. Building on a decade of research on public perceptions of children’s issues, this research was designed to compare expert understanding with public patterns of thinking and to use framing research to close the conceptual gap. Talking About Children’s Mental Health is a compendium of tools to help experts and advocates apply the research findings to their communications. The toolkit includes templates for products used in everyday communications practice, such as talking points, sample editorials, and other essential resources. The research reports develop an evolving “core story” of child and family mental health. FrameWorks Institute 1776 I Street NW, 9th Floor Washington, DC 20006 www.frameworksinstitute.org
