I grew up in “Forest Kindergarten“ in Sweden where no matter what the weather, we were encouraged to play, explore and learn outdoors. We wore well made, comfortable Rainwear which kept us warm and dry. I now sell the same Scandinavian Rainwear in Australia and so far over 150 Kindergartens, Child Care Centres and Family Day Care Providers across Australia have purchased these unique Rainsets, embracing the possibilities of giving children the opportunity to play outdoors in all weather. These great products protect the clothing, keeping children clean, warm and dry. The material is soft, lightweight and most of all it is so comfortable to wear. This garment uses a unique material which has a flexible Polyurethane coating on the outside with a soft Polyester backing and welded seams. This allows the garment to be Bi-Stretch material (stretches with the body therefore less restrictive for children when playing). I am proud to be the supplier of this great product to Westgarth Kindergarten (Doug Fargher), Melbourne - the pioneer of Bush Kinder in Australia.

Our waterproof Rain Set consists of jacket and pants and protects against mud, puddles, wet playground equipment and dewy grass. The perfect outdoor gear for any energetic outdoor activity.

My name is Marie Kullenberg and I am the MK in MK Nordika. I'm from Sweden and living in Jan Juc along the beautiful Great Ocean Road in Victoria. MK Nordika is an Australian based company. We sell high quality and stylish Scandinavian designed Rainwear for Women, Men and Children. We supply Rainwear to Early Childhood Centres, Kindergartens, Schools and Family Day Care Providers. Australia has a rugged and beautiful landscape and I love being outdoors in this country. Whether hiking, mountain biking or skiing, to really appreciate the great Australian outdoors you need appropriate clothing. Growing up in the harsh Swedish climate we had to wear comfortable and durable outdoor clothing and this is how the idea of MK Nordika began – with the goal of importing these unique Scandinavian products to Australia. There is vast and consistent scientific evidence that demonstrates how children benefit in so many ways when they have regular opportunities to play outdoors in all seasons.
