One of the prime benefits of a land trust is privacy in an age of much more easily accessible information.

While 100% privacy is probably not possible, we have found that these steps are helpful:

• Property tax bill and related documentation CANNOT contain owner's name or anything traceable to owner. Options include:

a. Address it to Chicago Title Land Trust # (your trust number) at your address; or

b. Chicago Title Land Trust Company can receive it directly and forward it to you for a fee.

• Consider sending other bills & mail to a P.O. Box. • Be aware that litigation/legal issues (even traffic tickets, code violations & citations) with your ownership could

become public record. • Avoid linking your name (or anything traceable to you) to your address. Examples include but are not limited

to posting your address on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. • Opt out of pre-screened credit offers with the credit bureaus.
