What Chicago Brings to the Table
The Chicago Flower & Garden Show will be blooming once again at Navy Pier, March 12-20. To complete our spring awakening, we’re looking for one-of-a-kind Chicago florists and designers to join us as we create another memorable event.
In 2016, we are introducing our official Tablescapes competition! A panel of judges will evaluate each participant’s display on-site using several criteria and choose a winner that will be recognized for the duration of the Show! Read on to learn more about this unique opportunity. If you’re interested in participating, be sure to submit your entry application before it’s too late.
The deadline for submission is October 16, 2015. We look forward to having you join us for the 2016 Chicago Flower & Garden Show!

To celebrate the beauty and variety in Chicago, our 2016 show theme is Chicago Is. Therefore, we are looking for designs that highlight the diversity inherent in Chicago’s art, culture, neighborhoods and lifestyles. We want to see what Chicago means to you through the designs that you present. Design Details:• This year’s tablescape theme is:
What Chicago Brings to the Table
• Spaces consist of two back walls measuring 8 ft tall x 8 ft wide that will be set in a 90-degree corner and painted a neutral color. Tablescape floor footprints cannot exceed 10 ft x 10 ft. (Upon arrival on March 10th you will have the option to paint or cover your walls.)
• All tables must be set up on Thursday, March 10 in Navy Pier’s Festival Hall between 1 and 4 pm and/or Friday, March 11 between 8 am and 2 pm. Tablescapes must stay within their assigned footprint.
• All tables need to be maintained to stay fresh for the entire run of the show. (Maintenance can happen between 8:30 and 9:30 am as well as between 8:00 and 9:00 pm.) All displays must be collected Sunday, March 20 between 6:30 and 9:30 pm.
How to Reserve a Table:With only 12 spaces available, don’t miss your opportunity to show Chicago your talent!
• Complete and submit attached application. • Submit a rendering of your proposed tablescape design. • Submit a written description of your tablescape and purpose.
On-site Evaluation:On-site evaluation will be handled by a panel of judges using the following criteria:
• Tangible standards • Elements and principles • Aesthetic standards

Judging will take place on Friday, March 11, starting at 2:30 pm. The winner will be notified and their design will be recognized on-site for the duration of the Show.

Setup Date: Thursday, March 10, 1 pm to 4 pm Friday, March 11, 8 am to 2 pm Pickup Date: Sunday, March 20, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm *Please remember you are responsible for the upkeep of your tablescape. Displays may be watered 1 hour before or up to 1 hour after the show closes.
