Cheval Residences & Cheval Thorney Court Proudly supported ‘Members Guest Day’ at Wentworth Club In aid of Help for Heroes On Wednesday 24 th August 2011 Originally home to the Brother-in-Law of the Duke of Wellington, ‘Wentworth House’ became the castellated Club House for Wentworth Golf course, first opened in 1926. Situated in the leafy enclaves of Surrey near Virginia Water, Wentworth Club is synonymous with the PGA Championship and has hosted both the Ryder Cup in 1953 and the World Cup in 1956. The ‘Members Guest Day’ was attended by the great and the good of Wentworth Club, and after a full day of golf, an exclusive Dinner Party was held in the Club House which raised an impressive £8500 during the evening through the auction, raffle and sponsorship. Cheval Residences, as part of their sponsorship was delighted to extend an auction prize providing a 3 night stay at the quintessential Cheval Thorney Court, Kensington with Dinner for 4 at the award winning Le Cercle Restaurant, Sloane Street, Chelsea. We are delighted that the prize was won by a most worthy and generous patron – Mr Bruce Tenniswood who himself is a former Captain of Wentworth Golf Club.

‘Members Guest Day’ at Wentworth Club

In aid of

Help for Heroes

On Wednesday 24th August 2011

Originally home to the Brother-in-Law of the Duke of Wellington, ‘Wentworth House’ became

the castellated Club House for Wentworth Golf course, first opened in 1926. Situated in the

leafy enclaves of Surrey near Virginia Water, Wentworth Club is synonymous with the PGA

Championship and has hosted both the Ryder Cup in 1953 and the World Cup in 1956.

Cheval Residences were delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor this prestigious event in

support of Help for Heroes; a most worthy British Charity, founded in 2007 by Bryn and

Emma Parry. Help for Heroes has made its mark on British society, raising money to support

members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.

The ‘Members Guest Day’ was attended by the great and the good of Wentworth Club, and

after a full day of golf, an exclusive Dinner Party was held in the Club House which raised an

impressive £8500 during the evening through the auction, raffle and sponsorship.

Cheval Residences, as part of their sponsorship was delighted to extend an auction prize

providing a 3 night stay at the quintessential Cheval Thorney Court, Kensington with Dinner

for 4 at the award winning Le Cercle Restaurant, Sloane Street, Chelsea.

We are delighted that the prize was won by a most worthy and generous patron –

Mr Bruce Tenniswood who himself is a former Captain of Wentworth Golf Club.
