We would like to welcome you to Chesterfield Theatres and the new autumn programme for the Pomegranate Theatre and the Winding Wheel.

At the Pomegranate Theatre, highlights of the new programme include the superb Agatha Christie thriller A Murder is Announced starring Judy Cornwell as Miss Marple, the new play Beryl starring Rebecca Ryan (Shameless) and the return of the Russian State Ballet and Opera House and Moscow Ballet-La Classique.

We are also delighted to announce additional PoMegrAnATe screenings, including productions from the Royal National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera.

Looking further ahead make sure you book your tickets for this year’s pantomime, snow whiTe And The seven dwArfs, starring Jonathan Ansell (X Factor, G4), Eurovision singing sensation Nicki French and Philip Green (Britain’s Got Talent).

At the winding wheel, highlights of the programme include the hit musical Avenue Q, the return of Blood BroThers (starring Marti Pellow and Maureen Nolan) and the musical MirAcle on 34th sTreeT.

Maxine Peake’s witty, charming and critically acclaimed play celebrates the life of unsung sporting legend Beryl Burton – the greatest woman on two wheels.

When Beryl Charnock met keen cyclist Charlie Burton she was smitten, not only with Charlie but by the thrill and freedom found on her bike. She became five times world pursuit champion, thirteen times national pursuit

champion and twice road-racing world champion. She subsequently became the world and British record-holder, an MBE and an OBE.

By CarChesterfield is just 10 minutes from junction 29 of the M1 motorway via the A617. From all routes follow signs to Chesterfield Town Centre. Both the Winding Wheel, Pomegranate Theatre, Assembly Rooms and Box Office are located in close proximity to the ‘Crooked Spire Church’. Car parks (see map) are well signposted.

ParkingThere are a number of large car parks close to the Winding Wheel, Pomegranate Theatre, Assembly Rooms and Box Office (see map). Hasland Village Hall has an on-site car park but spaces are limited.

By BusThe Winding Wheel, Pomegranate Theatre, Assembly Rooms and Box Office are within easy walking distance of all town centre bus stops.

By TrainExit Chesterfield Station bearing left, cross the footbridge to Corporation Street; the Pomegranate Theatre is situated on your left and the Winding Wheel is 100 metres further on your right. Here you will see the fingerposts signposting you to the Tourist Information Centre, where you will find the Box Office. The Market Hall is also signposted from here.
