Pawn: Understands the basic movement of every piece.
Knight: Understands all the rules to chess including, check, checkmate, en passant and castling.
Bishop: Understands basic opening principles, chess notation and tactics including, pins, forks, skewers and more.

Queen: Understands basic endgame strategies, opposition, advanced tactics including, sacrifice, discovered attack, double attack, decoy and more.
