Priority 1: Promoting Confidence in a new NHS Brand and RolesWho is Responsible: James Baker and Alex Wells, Sue Watson

Scope what work is currently being undertaken regarding Values at local, regional and national level and how this could fit into the recruitment process

 

• Regional Values - Are you:- Caring/A good communicator/ Compassionate/Courageous/ able to make a commitment? If you are, we can develop you into a competent caring professional.

• Benefits (see sheet)• Fiona Lord at HENW is developing tools to

assess values and behaviours. Currently testing scenarios – to be finished by July/August. Possible LETB funding.

Scope how success is celebrated both inside and outside the NHS- Local, Regional, and National. Investigate the use of social media to share success

• Staff need to be easily identifiable to service users – scope out TAPS uniform colours with a view to giving some consistency.

• Skills for Health, NHS Careers – link to region through school websites, Connections, mobile app, Pod Casts – student champions.

At a recent event attended by members of the group, ‘Proud to work in the NHS’, badges were available.

Scope work experience policies and how organisations currently engage with 15-18 year olds

 

Equality of access Promotion Career Counsellors Support cared for children Year 9 when choosing options 1 week shadowing at age 17

What already exists at regional level around career options in the NHS and work with schools- Needs to be interaction with schools/colleges

 

NHS Leadership Academy Joan Holcroft – Skills for Health, Colleges

and Schools, Ambassador for Health, Derby Council (reduced resources). Care Ambassador Scheme.

Work experience links/visits to school

Partnership event with education leads- Resulting in the production of suitable materials/practical skills

Laura Dunaway to find out about Patient and Public Involvement at a regional level (used to be a team at the SHA)

 

Scope out what tools already exist to measure patient experience and outcomes.

 

Hub to share benefits/impact framework once available

 

Link measures to education outcome framework. 

Capture Assistant Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner stories. Where they work well but also where they don’t across Cheshire and Merseyside.

Laura Dunaway to share existing Case Studies and case study template.
