Students must attend the lab section for which they are registered. No “make-up” labs are possible. 2. Students are expected to read the lab ahead of time and understand the lab activities to be done that day before they come to lab. Each experiment has a “pre-lab review” that should be completed and submitted at the beginning of the lab period. 3. All experiments are to be performed on an individual basis (no partners) unless you are told otherwise by your lab instructor. Lab data-and-report sheets are to be initialed by your lab instructor before you leave the lab. 4. Completed lab reports are due at the beginning of the next scheduled lab period following completion of the experiment. Turn in lab reports to the lab instructor. 5. You must bring your laboratory (textbook) each laboratory session. 6. Protective eye glasses, goggles, or prescription eye glasses (subject to instructor approval) must be worn at all times in the lab. Have them with you the first day of lab. In addition, any instructions given about safety precautions must be followed. Violation of any of these policies can result in expulsion from the lab. 7. Anyone dropping the course during the semester must first check out of their lab locker. See the stockroom personnel to make proper arrangements. Failure to do this will result in your grades, transcripts, and/or registration being withheld by the registrar’s office. 8. Students often find it helpful to bring a roll of paper towels to keep in their locker.
