DEFINE MIXTURE AND SOLUTION

Mixture: It is the combination of two or more different elements mixtures may be

heterogeneous or homogeneous

The solutions: are homogeneous formats

basically two component systems. Solvent and solute. The second is in

lower proportion. The total mass of the solution is the sum of the mass of solute

over the mass of solvent.

DEFINE MIXTURE AND SOLUTION

Homogeneous mixtures If it consists of pure substances which do not lose its natural properties in the integration Heterogeneous mixtures Compositions are not uniform, such as colloids or suspensions. An example of this type of mixture is a salad that combines several ingredients (like lettuce, tomato and onion, or celery, carrot and egg)

DEFINE MIXTURE AND SOLUTION

Concentrated solution: has a substantial Amount of solute in a volume Determined.

Unsaturated Solution: Do not have the maximum amount of solute for given temperature and pressure.

Saturated Solutions: They have the maximum amount of solute for given temperature and pressure. In them there is a balance between the solute and Solvent.

Supersaturated solutions: They have more solute possible for a

Saturated solution.

. DISTILLATION.

Is based on each feature

substance boiling at a

temperature or for it, when

heated to boiling in a

distillation apparatus, each

substance is separated at a

temperature corresponding to

its boiling point. If for

example salt water heated in

the distillation flask and the

salt would be pure water is

collected in the distillate.

DECANTATION. It is based on the density difference is in the components of a mixture. If we have a mixture of solid and liquid is allowed to stand and observe that the denser or heavier solid sinks to the bottom of the container and it is easier for you separate the liquid which the vessel containing both subjects tilts and let the liquid into another container.

DIALISIS

Is a process where ions and other absorbed substances can be separated from the colloidal particles if

passed colloid through a semipermeable membrane of large area, the pores are fairly large for the ions,

but the colloidal particles that can pass through them .
