Checklist: 4 Steps To Creating An Effective“About The Doctor” Website Page

STEP 1: HAVE TWO DIFFERENT PICTURES OF YOURSELF(THE DOCTOR) ON THE PAGE.

STEP 2: HAVE AN ATTRACTIVE DESCRIPTION OF THEDOCTOR

Choose two pictures of yourself to display on the page.

The first picture should be an individual picture of the doctor, preferablyin a suit or well-dressed (especially for men) in order to communicate themessage that you, the doctor, takes taking care of your patients seriouslyand wants to do the best for his or her patients. This will encouragepotential patients to like and trust you.

The second picture you use should be of the doctor with his/her family.If you have a dog, be sure to include your pet in the picture as well. Thistype of image will represent the doctor as someone who's very committedand encourages potential patients to like you based on similarity.If you are single, this picture can vary. You could showcase yourself doingsomething that you enjoy doing as a hobby. For example: If you’re a personwho likes to bake, you can have pictures of yourself wearing a baking apronand holding a tray, etc. However you choose to represent yourself,remember, it just needs to tell the story of who you are.

Images like these help your website visitors to like and trust you and willhighlight similar interests and values between yourself and your potentialpatient, giving you something to talk about and eventually encouragingthe patient to accept treatment recommendations regardless of the cost.

The first paragraph that describes the doctor should start with a statementthat would create an alignment with patients who are looking for a gooddentist as this will help page visitors to have a good first impressionof the doctor.

Patient Reviews provide social proof that the doctor is really good at whathe does and will help potential patients see the quality of service providedby the doctor and his/her team. Reviews are powerful because they are thevoices of your patients who are able to say things about the practice orabout the doctor in a way that’s more convincing than if you spoke aboutyourself. So leverage your reviews to speak on behalf of yourself and yourpractice!

STEP 3: INCLUDE THE DOCTOR’S CREDENTIALS

Make sure to include the doctor’s name, credentials, certifications receivedand any associations that the doctor belongs to as this too will help potentialpatients understand that the doctor is well credentialed.

STEP 4: HAVE A SECTION THAT SHOWCASES AMAZINGREVIEWS FROM EXISTING PATIENTS WHO LOVE THE DOCTOR
