Checking the SAP® base release

In order to check the release version of your SAP® base release or other components installed on

your SAP® system, e.g. SAP_APPL, please follow the steps below:

1. Please log on to your SAP® Server using the SAP® Logon Pad .

2. In the System menu select the Status… entry.

3. The System: Status dialog is displayed:

4. Click the icon underneath the Component version field. The System: Component

information dialog is displayed:

5. For the release version of the SAP® base release please refer to the lines SAP_ABA and

SAP_BASIS. The SAP_APPL component is also included in this list.

Important notes regarding SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA with release version 731 or higher:

SAP® has consolidated the two NetWeaver versions 700 EHP3 and 730 EHP1. Both versions show the

release version 731 for "SAP_BASIS" and "SAP_ABA". New NetWeaver Enhancement Packages (EHP)

will only provide versions higher than 731.

Installation of transport requests

For the installation of the transport requests please select the SmartExporter SAP® components

transport version that is of the same version as the installed SAP_BASIS or lower.

Installation of the Add-On

To install the SmartExporter SAP® components as an Add-On it is important to know the correct basis

version.

Call the SPAM transaction in your SAP® system and select the Imported Support Packages option in

the Directory area. Click the Display button.

A list of the installed packages is shown. Locate the entry for the "SAP_BASIS" component in the list.

The first installed Basis Support Package, in this case SAPKB70001, indicates which release of the

SmartExporter SAP® components you have to install as an Add-On.
