UCLA FOOTBALL Angel Venegas, Staff Reporter Pasadena- This month, the AVID Program, the Football and Volleyball teams went to watch the UCLA Bruins take on the Oregon Ducks. They had an excellent time!!!

Thanksgivings is Here! Peter Martinez, Staff Reporter United States- I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's all about giving thanks for everything you have. Also to give thanks for the food you have in front of you. Of course a turkey has to be at the dinner table. You get to stuff your face until you get full. Mashed potatoes is one of the biggest things to have at a dinner table. All this talking about food is making my mouth water! Thanksgiving is in six days, I can’t wait.

Art Talk with Ms. Adams David Rosales, Staff Reporter OXNARD- Today I met with Ms. Adams to discuss the elective she is currently teaching. It is an Art class with a Math emphasis. Ms. Adams told me that she really enjoys teaching the class. She has observed a lot of potential in her students and is really happy with their production. Ms. Adams became interested in Art when she was young and became more dedicated to it after her teachers encouraged her. When asked how many times she has dyed her hair Ms. Adams said “four”.

2016 Fall Harvest Festival Arli Rodriguez and Belem Fabian, Staff Reporters This year’s Harvest Festival was very fun. We witnessed Mr. Olson and Dr.Cortez getting pies thrown in their faces. The food was great! there was ice cream, pizza, soda, tacos, nachos, cotton candy, and popcorn. There were prizes and cheerleaders came and gave a performance. The highlight was probably the beats headphones that were raffled off as the grand prize.

Flag Football Ends it’s Run Edwin Sosa, Sports Reporter OXNARD- After a successful regular season, in which they went undefeated, the 6th Grade Flag Football Team’s season has come to an end. They lost in the playoffs to the City Rams team. Great job this year, looking forward to next season.

Messi vs Ronaldo David Rosales, Sports Reporter WORLD-You may ask yourself, who is the best soccer player in the world? Messi or Ronaldo? The Barcelona player Lionel Messi or his rival the Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo? There have been many discussions about who is the best player and in my opinion Ronaldo is superior. Although Messi is really good he recently lost the Copa America while playing with Argentina against Chile. Messi missed his penalty shot that would have won the game. He later retired from the national team. On the other side, Ronaldo won the UEFA European Championship with his country, Portugal which was not favored to win. Meanwhile in the Spanish league, La Liga, Ronaldo and Real Madrid are undefeated. Messi’s team Barcelona are in 3rd place. I think Cristiano Ronaldo is superior. Who do you think is the best Messi or Ronaldo?

RICO’S REVIEW Dress Up gone wrong Mariela Rico, Music Reporter JAPAN-Appearing with Nazi-like outfits in a concert isn't cool. Keyakizaka 46, A Japanese girl band, did just that. The producer has apologized claiming he was unaware of the outfits before the concert. He doesn't think the designers were trying to make a Nazi like outfits. A human rights group stated they were disgusted by the uniforms, calling out Sony Music and Akimoto to apologize. Much of Asia is less sensitive to use Nazi themes than the west. The Wiesenthal Center has slammed a rock band for dressing up like Nazis on National Tv broadcast.
