This queen size quilt was a GRIND and took 3 years to finish, but I like the way it turned out with the neutral colors. It’s now our couch quilt. Pattern: Tahoe by Cluck Cluck Sew

Take Away, 16" x 16", my entry for the Curated Quilts "Subtraction" mini quilt challenge

45

Karen Dereszynski

It measures about 40"x60", made from leftover fabric from the quilt I made last year. I hope to hand it over to Project Linus when it's completed, given that the covidshutdown has ended by then. This quilt was my first carefree approach to quiltmaking, doing a lot of "let's try this" along the way. It's turned into a color-therapy item in my home which is a plus.

46

Rosie Donovan

Pixelated Color wheel quilt, about 60” x 60”

Inspired by a blog post by From the Blue Chair from 2011. It took me over 3 years, but it is finally done!

47

Rosie Donovan

The retreat a couple years ago at Camp Huston was the perfect place to lay out the 2” squares.

It was my first attempt at circular quilting on my home machine. The back is flannel.

49

Katie Sprugel

The Grand Poohbah. Foundation paper pieced. Violet Craft Peacock Abstractions pattern. Started in the workshop with Violet in 2018 (?). Finished top, then let it sit for over a year while I tried to figure out how I wanted it quilted. Eventually, asked Becky Quinlan to do it and she did an amazing job. She did peacock feathers in the tail feathers and surrounded the bird with a geometric Moorish tile-like design.

50

Katie Sprugel

Indigo Dreams. Started in a workshop with Patricia Belyea. Vintage yukata cottons, silk batting. Made for a very light and lovely hand. Quilted with my Sashiko machine, and has a bit of hand quilted Sashikoembroidery in the inset magenta circle.

51

Katie Sprugel

Indigo Dreams. Back view with vintage yukata cotton in classic blue and white.

I made this for the Curated Quilts mini challenge, but it was not accepted. It is my original design. Paper pieced. I am going to turn it into a pillow! and it's 15x15 inches.

53

Kim Madden

Boom Baby! This is the first quilt where I picked out the fabrics myself, instead of using the pattern designers chosen fabrics. I started this in 2016, but stopped working on it because there was one block that just didn't do anything for me. Earlier this year, I was determined to finish this WIP in 2020, and realized I could redesign the uninspiring block, so I made my favorite flying geese, and the rest of the quilt came together after that! Pam Cole quilted it for me, and now I snuggle under it every night. I also love the trip down fabric-memory lane, working with a bunch of fabrics that aren't really too available anymore.

54

Erica Johnson

Begonia Quilt: I added some extra borders to the top and bottom of my Begonia.

55

Erica Johnson

I backed it with mostly fabric from the free table and quilted it with an all over orange peel.

This is my first ever blue ribbon for a quilt. From Kitsap Quilters show held in February. Made for my granddaughter, the blocks are paper pieced — I love the precision possible with paper piecing. This is City Weekend, pattern and fabric from Liesl Gibson. Judges really liked the "orange dots".

57

Amy Steed

I've made about 80 masks —Kitsap Quilters have given about 2000 to various health care institutions and community organizations. At this point, I'm about "masked" out! It's been fun to see the IG posts of others mask makes — and interesting to see Katie's research and experimenting with many different types of masks.

58

This is a mini quilt I made for the #quiltersforkoalasswap to benefit the bushfires in Australia.

59

MeganVanderburg

This quilt shipped in early Marchso I wasn’t able to share it in person. 32”x23”, paper pieced.
