Presentation of the resto-ration programmes currently under way, in parti-cular the spectacular work being done to restore the 13th-century painted decoration, which has remained well preserved underneath the dirt and dust that has accumulated over the centuries.Followed by a guided tour.

Max Ingrand’s modern stained-glass windows in Chartres
Rechèvres church and Franz Stock
The masterpiece of Max Ingrand, one of France’s greatest 20th-century master glass artists, is made up of vast panoramic windows beneath an immense octagonal cupola. This church was built in 1962 in the Rechèvres district of Chartres by the architect Jean Redréau, using innovative tri-directional techniques.
