WHO ATTENDS?
The Gradua�on Ceremony is exclusively for CIPS members who have achieved either the Graduate Diploma or Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
Each gradua�on ceremony is open to anyone who has never graduated before; not just those who have qualified during the preceding 12 months.
Graduants are welcome to bring friends and family to the ceremony to join in their celebra�on.

WHERE DO I GET MY GOWN AND HOOD?
Please note this is a member only event and you will need to be a fully subscribed CIPS member to a�end. Please ensure that your contact details are up to date at www.cips.org/mycipsIf your membership has expired please contact [email protected] I +27 12 345 6177 (membership department)
House of Graduates are the appointed robe-maker for the CIPS Gradua�on Ceremony. Once you have confirmed your a�endance with [email protected] you should book your robes directly with House of Graduates. Please note you cannot par�cipate in the Ceremony without Academic dress.
If you are ren�ng your a�re, please make sure to hand them back in at the dressing rooms allocated.

Reserved seats have been allocated for all graduands. Graduates will be seated in alphabe�cal order and you will receive your seat number on registra�on.Your guests do not have reserved seats and will be requested to fill the room star�ng from the front to back.This is in order to minimise any disturbance by ‘late-comers’.CIPS staff will be on hand to assist both graduands and guests to their seats.

The Gradua�on Ceremony is held at Emperors Palace Conven�on Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa.The dura�on of the ceremony is approximately 2 hours.

WILL PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHS BE TAKEN?
A�er you received your a�re in the dressing rooms assigned, there will be photos taken in the foyer of the venue. Gordon Harris Photographic are the appointed photography company for the CIPS Gradua�on Ceremony.
Order forms for Gordon Harris Photographic is available on the cips website www.cips.org.
Photos of the en�re event will be published on the CIPS Africa facebook page, and will be available in high resolu�on on request.

WHERE AND WHEN DO I RETURN MY HIRED GOWN/HOOD?
You must return your hired gown/hood to House of Graduates in the assigned dressing rooms.House of Graduates will do the necessary refunds of deposits for gowns/hoods that have been hired if needed.Please hand in your gown as soon as possible a�er the ceremony - Preferably before refreshments are served.

WHAT ABOUT REFRESHMENTS?
Graduates, family members, and guests are invited for refreshments in the foyer a�er the ceremony.There will be teas and coffees available for graduants in the foyer between 14h00 - 16h00.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I BE AT THE VENUE FOR ROBING?
You should be at the venue at 14h00 for your robing and professional photos to be taken. It is very important that you arrive in �me, we cannot guarantee you being robed in �me for the ceremony if you arrive late.

DRESS CODE
Gentlemen should wear a shirt and ladies a front-bu�oning blouse. This will enable the ceremonial hood to be worn correctly and comfortably.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
When you confirm your a�endance with [email protected] please advise us if you or guest(s) have special requirements, so that the appropriate arrangements can be made.

WHAT SHOULD I DO DURING THE CEREMONY?
You will be briefed on how the ceremony will work when you receive your robe. The stage will be marked on the floorfor where you should stop to have your photo taken.
