CIH qualifications for Chartered Membership (CIHCM)

A number of post graduate courses, both full and part time, are recognised by the CIH as meeting the requirements for CIHCM. Post graduate

Diplomas or Masters Qualifications are available in 2-3 year part – time, 1 year full time or 2 year sandwich formats. These courses are accessible to

those who have a relevant first degree or equivalent qualification.

These courses include the CIH 'practice requirement' for membership. This is available to part time and sandwich course students.

Where no placement experience is available and students graduate with no housing experience, CIH will award Chartered Membership once a

student can demonstrate that housing experience has been acquired.

CIH is now also partially accrediting wider programmes which may have housing modules within the course. It is indicated where further study is

needed to achieve CIHCM.
