Binding

From fabric for binding:• Cut 4, 2¼ x 40 - inch strips

Blocks

Use 1⁄4 - inch seam allowance throughout, a small stitch length, and press seams open.

• Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of each 1½ x 1½ - inch print square.• With right sides facing, place a 1½ x 1½ - inch print

square on the corner of a 2½ x 2½ - inch white square as shown. Stitch on marked line. Trim seam allowance

to ¼ - inch. Flip and press.

Make 72 stitch & flip squares.

• Arrange and sew 2, 2½ x 2½ - inch matching squares and 2, 2½ x 2½ - inch matching stitch & flip squares into a block as shown. Make36.

Blocks measure 4½ x 4½ - inches.

Quilt Assembly

• Referring to the Quilt Diagram, arrange blocks into 6 rows of 6 blocks each. Quilt Center measures 24½ x 24½ - inches

Borders

• Sew a 2 x 24½ - inch white border rectangle to each side of the quilt center.• Sew a 2 x 27½ - inch white border rectangle to the top and bottom of the quilt.

• Sew 36, 1 x 5 - inch border rectangles end to end. Cut 2, 1 x 27½ - inch rectangles and attach each side of the quilt. Cut 2, 1 x 28½ - inch segments and attach to the top and bottom of the quilt.

• Sew a 2 x 28½ - inch white border rectangle to each side of the quilt.• Sew a 2 x 31½ - inch white border rectangle to the top and bottom of the quilt. Quilt measures 31½ x 31½ - inches.

Finishing

• Layer, baste, hand or machine quilt, trim and add binding.
