Program Overview Designed for non-business majors, the Fairfield University Dolan School of Business Master of Science in Management (MSM) program provides recent college graduates with fundamental business knowledge and focused career development.
• Cohort program beginning each summer
• One-year, 30 credit full-time experience
• Face-to-face, on-campus degree program with some hybrid and online courses
• Designed to enable candidates to flourish in a variety of career fields, or to start their own business
• May 2020 start, accepting applications on a rolling basis
MSM Versus MBA• The MSM focuses on early career students
who want to gain advanced skills, or change from a non-business to a business field
• An attractive financial alternative to a traditional MBA, the MSM offers a high quality business education in just one year of study
• The MSM allows candidates to pursue a business discipline as novices and to complete the program with the coveted combination of liberal arts learning and business education

• A professional resume
• A personal statement approximately one page including reasons for pursuing the program and career objectives
• Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended. (All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an approved evaluating service)
• Two letters of recommendation
• Interview – Applicants may be required to participate in an interview as part of the admission process.
