Conditions of Entry

CHAPS(UK): All Classes qualify for the 2022 Championship show

This Show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (uk)

AFFILIATION NO: 21194

Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (uk) nor must the horse or

pony registered with CHAPS(UK)to compete. However, in order to qualify both owner

and rider/exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid qualification

card IN THE RING for signing by the Judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS(UK) for

appropriate qualifier card.

For 2022 only, qualifying cards do NOT require to be signed by judge this will help eliminate cross

contamination.

For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the

CHAPS(UK) Member’s Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com. All stallions,4 years and over, entering these classes must be graded

with CHAPS(UK). Stallions must wear ID Discs in the Ring without exception.

SCOTTISH SHETLAND PONY CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER 2022

This show is a qualifier for The Scottish Shetland Pony Championship Show being held at

Howe Equestrian Centre in Fife on Saturday 17th September 2022 (TBC).

This is a chance for Shetland Ponies to have their own evening performance full of Glitz,

Glamour and Glitter!

The top 3 ponies in each Shetland class will qualify, or any Shetland placed in the top 3 of

any mixed M&M class (ridden & inhand) will qualify.

Qualifiers do not pass down the line.

No qualifying cards will be handed out, a list of qualified ponies will be updated

frequently and can be found on the

website: https://scottishshetlandchamps.blogspot.com/

The pony qualifies for the show not a specific class so once you qualify you can enter the

pony in any suitable classes at the Championships.

Quest for a Star Championship - Traditional Gypsy Cobs

1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA classes above may go forward to the Quest for

a Star Championship as per below rule.

ONLY current TGCA members and horse/pony that is already TGCA registered

can exhibit in this championship.

Membership card and Member’s qualification card (specific to that

exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve

qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS.

Go for Glory Championship In hand and Ridden

1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA part bred classes may go forward to the Go for Glory

Championship. For TOYS qualifiers, the handler/rider and exhibits (apart from stallions)

do not have to be TGCA members/registered on the date of the show. The Champion

and Reserve qualify for the Crowning Glory Championships at TOYS.

RoR OPEN In Hand Show Series Qualifier 2022

Open to all RoR and NR competition registered horses, 3yrs and over, fillies, mares and

geldings.

Blemishes caused through racing will be ignored. Horses do not need to be shod to compete

in the RoR Open In-Hand class. Horses can be shown in a Bitless/In Hand Bridle.

All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining

of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force.

This class is a qualifier for the RoR OPEN In Hand Showing Series FINAL

The first three go forward to the final at the RoR National Championships at Aintree on August

2022.

RoR prizes will not be awarded to RoR qualifiers with numbers forward of two or less, however

qualification for the final will stand.

Rosettes 1st - 6th.

Prizes - 1st £30 plus RoR Prize, 2nd £20, 3rd £10

The RoR Tattersalls Scottish Show Series Qualifier 2022

Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over

on the 1st January 2021. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle

with a plain cavesson noseband. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward to the

championship at the Royal Highland Show 2022. In the event that the first three are already

qualified, the qualification will go down the line to fourth.

All entries MUST have current competition registration with the RoR and have RACED in GB.

There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15 years or over. The class will be run

under the rules of RoR. Horses to be ridden by the judge. All those entering horses and/or

participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and

Regulations from time to time in force

Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap.

Racing injuries and blemishes will NOT be ignored in this series

Prizes : Rosettes 1st to 6th place, Vouchers 1st to 3rd place. Veteran prize, £20 voucher to be

redeemed from RoR office and qualification for the Veteran final at Aintree

Caledonian Showing Championships

This show is a qualifier for the Caledonian Showing

Championships, which offers competitors the opportunity to

compete at a top-level Championship Final in Scotland. With a

draped main arena, amazing rosettes, special prizes, music, judges

from the south and atmospheric Evening Performances, this is the show everyone wants

to be part of.

This year’s show will be held at

Highfield @ Howe, near Ladybank, Fife on 16/17 October 2021

Every horse & pony placed 1st and 2nd in all Inhand, Ridden Showing classes (not fun

classes) & Working Hunter/Pony classes will qualify to compete in any appropriate class

at the Finals. All Champions & Reserves will qualify for the Champion & Reserves Stakes

Finals. Qualification will be from placings, no qualification cards will be awarded in the

ring, and no qualification can go down the line.

All qualified horses and ponies will be listed on the Caledonian Showing Championship

Show’s website www.caledonianchampionships.co.uk where you will also find a

regularly updated list of qualifying shows and a wealth of other information.

**should there not be enough qualifying shows this year, contingency plans are in place

to run as an Open Show with special recognition for those who have qualified**

RULES 1. All riders must be covered by third party insurance through private, BHS, Pony Club or any equine insurance. 2. All exhibitors must have Public Liability Insurance 3. All horses/ponies in any ridden classes must be over four years of age. 4. All stallion handlers and riders must be 16yrs old or over 5.The Judge’s decision is final. Any complaints to be made in writing to the secretary within 1 hour of the occurrence of the event giving rise to the complaint, with a £20 deposit which will be forwarded to the charity or returned if the complaint is upheld. 6. The organisers of this event, nor any person acting on their behalf, the owners of the show ground or agents acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident injury or illness to animals, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever. 7. Please plan your entries to avoid clashes, We will NOT hold any classes up or be held responsible for any classes that may clash. 8. Rosette’s 1st to 6th place in all classes. 9.This competition is in aid of charity and No entry fees will be returned unless the competition is cancelled. 10. All handlers and riders must ensure that horses/ponies are kept under control at all times, any persons seen ill-treating any horse or pony will be instantly disqualified and will be asked to leave the grounds immediately! 11. Please CLEAN UP after your horse on the showground! All litter must be taken home with you. 12. All Trophies are property of this Charity Event and all winners must sign a receipt of custody for each trophy won. Trophies must all be returned by SUNDAY 26TH AUGUST 2022. A FINE will be issued if unwilling to do so ! 13. Please note – The Judges may stop for a break. This may be during a class section, but will be announced on the day depending on entries. 14. Please can all horseboxes and trailers be courteous to other competitors and park responsibly. 15. Dogs are welcome, but Must be kept on a lead at ALL times. Any mess must be cleaned up ! No dogs to be left unattended in any vehicles at any point. 16. Please note – There will be a separate car park for spectators, and a £1.00 parking charge made payable at the gate. 17. REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN !
