2016 is our 9th annual event! A day of offering assistance at the end of October to the elderly or physically challenged folks to help make their homes safe, warm and dry in the preparation of winter. We also assess requests for help year round as requested. We accept requests from folks living in the MWV – Bartlett, Jackson in the North and Tamworth, Freedom in the south. Ossipee also although the Ossipee Congregational Church has a similar outreach to Ossipee residents. Fryeburg and Brownfield, Maine are also included. Help provided has included stacking firewood, re-design and construction of safe ramps for

home owners, skirting on porches, plastic on drafting windows, window washing, raking of leaves, various small carpentry projects, weather proofing roofs, insulation etc. When requests for our services come in, a team responds, views the job and determines if this is something with in our scope. If not we try to help find the appropriate resources and refer the job on. Payment for materials is provided by Neighbor to Neighbor. (Thus the need for fund-raising) Local churches and individuals have submitted donations year round. While the ministry is

ecumenical, Nativity Lutheran manages the dedicated Neighbor to Neighbor Account to cover costs incurred providing the services.
