He is the Spirit of Obedience Obedience is submitting completely to the will of God. It is not enough to know what to do; we also need the capacity to carry out the tasks set before us (Ezekiel 36:27; Deuteronomy 28:1). We need to be totally submissive to the leading of the Holy Spirit so that everything will work in our favour (James 1:25; 1 Corinthians 2:9-10; Romans 8:27-28). Obedience is often costly but the end result is priceless (2 Corinthians 10:6; Hebrews 12:1-2; Hebrews 10:35-36; James 1:12; 2 Timothy 4:7-8; 1 Peter 1:6-7). God’s instructions are not logical sometimes, and may be considered as foolishness to man. But, with meekness, understanding is attained and increase is guaranteed (Matthew 5:5). Life is a journey towards a destination. Success in life’s journey can only be achieved

through the help of the Holy Spirit. He is our divine helper who ensures that we attain our glorious destinies. We cannot handle the challenges of life ourselves (Luke 24:49). However, with divine power, help and comfort from the Holy Spirit, we can handle whatever comes our way (Zechariah 4:6; Acts 1:8).

Characteristics of the Holy Spirit

i. He is the Spirit of Revelation

Revelation is the ability to see God’s

plans for your life. What you see by revelation is what God gives to you and what makes others see you (Genesis 13:14-15). As a believer, you must graduate through the stages of reading, hearing and seeing God’s word at work. The Holy Spirit reveals everything we need to know so we do not struggle in life (John 16:13; John 8:32; John 14:26; Ephesians 1:17-18).

ii. He is the Spirit of Obedience

Obedience is submitting completely to the will of God. Sometimes, all we need to get a breakthrough is a step of obedience. Obedience is the gateway to heavenly

blessings and the Spirit of obedience will give you a willing heart to obey all divine instructions.

The Spirit of Obedience helps us by:

- Making us willing (Ezekiel 36:27)

- Making us act promptly (1 Peter 3:4)

- Making us meek (Exodus 11:3; Numbers 12:3).

iii. He is the Spirit of Meekness

Meekness starts from our thoughts. We must be meek to attract the grace of God (1 Peter 3:1–4). God’s instructions are not logical sometimes, and may be considered as foolishness to man. But, with meekness, understanding is attained and increase is guaranteed (Matthew 5:5). We must give glory to God for everything He has done in our lives. A meek person serves others and takes no glory for achievements. The benefits of meekness are:

- It is the covenant gateway to unlimited revelation

- It gives you access to unlimited expansion

- It shields you from the anger of God

iv. He is the Lord of the Harvest

We must learn to work with the Holy Spirit in the area of soul winning for He is the one who convicts the soul (Acts 2:41; Matthew 9:37-38; John 16:8).

“Everyone needs the Holy Spirit. He gives us a competitive edge because He knows what is best for everyone.”

Restoration is possible with God. We must cast out depression and fear and rejoice in the Lord with the assurance that the Lord will restore all that we have lost in times past. Depression is an indication of ignorance of your destiny while fear is an indication of doubt (Joel 2:21-27). Once you become born again, you become eligible for restoration because this is the whole essence of Christianity - to restore man unto God (Acts 1:6).

Requirements for Restoration

i. The New Birth: You must be born-again. Jesus already paid the price on the cross for our redemption and restoration (1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 Peter 1:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17). To become born-again and receive Jesus into your heart, pray the prayer of salvation at the back of this pamphlet.

ii. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: When the Holy Spirit comes upon you and dwells in you, restoration comes with ease (Joel 2:25-28; Isaiah 61:1-2).

iii. Faith in God: Our hope in God is key to our divine restoration. Never stop putting your faith in God because He never fails (Hebrews 11:1; Job 14:7-9; Ecclesiastes 9:4).

iv. Prayer for restoration: Anyone who desires restoration must be willing to pray for it (Genesis 32:24-28; Job 42:10). You should also pray for others.

v. Recognition of your agent of restoration: Recognise that there is a prophet sent to hasten your restoration and believe the words of the prophet (Hosea 12:13).

Biblical Facts about Restoration

STRAIGHT FROM THE PULPIT

TESTIMONIES: The Wonders of God.Broken knee healed – JosephI completed my WOFBI (Word of Faith Bible Institute) course and graduated last Sunday. After the graduation ceremony, I met a man unable to walk without the aid of crutches. I felt a strong urge in my spirit to pray for him. Fortunately, I had my anointing oil with me. I prayed with him and asked for a new knee, ligaments and tendons. To the glory of God, he stood up and walked unaided after the prayers!

Supernatural turnaround – Charles A.I joined this Commission in July 2015 in Nigeria. I had no job or business then, so my family faced severe financial challenges. I resorted to begging for food and accommodation. I also withdrew my children from school as I could not afford the fees. On our first day in this Commission, Bishop David Oyedepo emphasized the importance of engaging in kingdom advancement projects to fulfil a glorious destiny. He stated that if we faithfully engage in the kingdom duties for three months and see no significant change in our lives, we should leave the Commission. My wife and I took on the challenge using Matthew 6:33 as our motto. We served God faithfully for three months and things began to turn around for good. We began to enjoy favours from men. I received a phone call from an old business associate to co-run an international business that involves trips to China, Holland

and the United States. God has enlarged our coast as we now live in a fully furnished three-bedroom apartment and our children have resumed school. Of a truth, it pays to serve God!

Divine healing – Gloria O.On Wednesday, I received a message from a friend in Nigeria to pray for his sister who was involved in a fatal car accident with only five survivors. She suffered internal bleeding and was unable to walk. On Thursday night, I prayed over my friend’s picture as I used it as a point of contact to his sister. I shared the news with Pastor Titus Idowu who also prayed for her. To the glory of God, I was told the internal bleeding had stopped by the time the doctor arrived on Friday. Praise the Lord!

Healed of depression – Titilope S.For two years, I did not attend church due to the long distance from my home. Last July, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and placed on medication. Nothing around me was working. I left work and my business stopped. I struggled for about eight months and then decided to return to church. I attended WOFBI (Word of Faith Bible Institute) and my spirit was rekindled. I was reminded of God’s promises and His everlasting covenant with believers. I came off all medications and my health was restored. I started to pray kingdom-focused prayers and offered my

house as a WSF (Winners’ Satellite Fellowship) cell centre. I told God I needed a new job. Praise God because I was offered a job the same week!

Miracle job – Kingsley O.I lost my job a while ago and began a temporary job via an agency. At the ‘Covenant Restoration Service’, I asked God for a permanent position with better remuneration. By Friday, the agency reassigned me to another company. When I resumed at the new company, the site manager made me his assistant. Not long thereafter, he examined my CV and offered me a permanent position. I give all the glory to God.

Divine restoration – Jabba E.In July, we had a re-organization at my place of work. My post was re-graded and my salary was decreased commensurate with the lower position. Despite the changes, I continued to pay my tithes. By September, tension had developed in the organization. I applied the ‘Blood of Sprinkling’ and anointing oil in the CEO’s office and prayed for peace. To the glory of God, my salary was re-adjusted to a higher level. I also enjoyed favour as I was nominated to be part of the design team to provide recommendations to the directors. Finally, God restored a smooth working relationship between me and my manager. Praise the Lord!
