Keep those Box Tops for education coming. Each box top

clip helps us put on events for the students to enjoy like our

Winter Dance and Teacher Appreciation Week.

Cold and flu season is upon us. Vomiting, diarrhea and

fever are a few symptoms that can occur with illness. Here

is a reminder about when students should stay home:

Accidents happen, so if your child returns home in different

clothes than what they went to school. Please wash and

return the clothes so we have them for the next “accident”.

UPDATE SKYWARD

recently? Please check Skyward or call the school to let us

CHARACTER EDUCATION TRAIT—

EMPATHY

Empathy as defined by Merriam Webster dictionary is the

action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to,

and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and

experience of another of either the past or present without

having the feelings, thoughts, and experience fully commu-

nicated in an objectively explicit manner .

How do you show empathy? How can we show empathy at

school? What is the difference between empathy, sympa-

thy and compassion?
