Webmail provides a ‘hotmail’ like facility on all current NetPilots. It is based on Squirrel Mail an open source package. ‘Address’: enter the IP Address that you use to access the Internet (see Tip below).

‘Trust Group’: Leave this as ‘Controlled’ (unless you want to enter it into another group within the Firewall).

Using Webmail: Open up a new Web Browser and enter the following URL address:

    https://IPAddressorDomainName/Webmail

The ‘IPAddress’ is the ‘LAN 2’ address of your NetPilot. You will see the below screen, and it will prompt you for your username and password.

(These are the same as what you would enter into the NetPilot for access).

Once you have entered your details and selected the ‘Login’ button, you will be presented

with a similar screen, which is shown below:

On the above page the user can compose, send and receive mail in the classic hotmail

fashion. Emails are stored on the NetPilot. So please take caution to not fill the NetPilot’s disk with large amounts of email. Detailed help is available on-line. A hardcopy version of this help is the second PDF file within this Sub-Chapter on SmartStore.
