B1There are bacte-ria everywhere. They are in the air, in the water and in the soil. They are also in our food, on our bodies and hands, in our clothes and inside our bodies.

B2Bacteria can travel in air or in water. They can also be carried by insects (e.g. ies) and animals, and on people’s skin, hands, and clothes.

B3Bacteria usually live in warm wet places. Most of them die if they are boiled. They are also killed by disinfectants, salt, soap, chlorine and antiseptic ointment.
