Narrator
Narrator: David is very excited. He wants to play a game with his brother, Tom, and his sister, Tammy.
David: Look, my friend in school gave me these three masks. Let’s play a war game.
Tom: Let’s play ‘Batman and Robin’.
Tammy: No, no! Let’s play ‘Superwoman’.
Narrator: The three of them start to argue. Dad comes in.
Dad: What’s the matter?
David: We want to play with the masks but we can’t agree what game to play.
Dad: Well, let me think. Let’s play ‘Sword Fight’. I have some plastic swords.
Tom: Yes, yes! Let’s pretend we’re Chinese soldiers of long ago.
Narrator: All three children agree. Dad gives them a sword each.
3 Children: Let’s hold our swords high. Let’s get ready to fight. Dad, you shall be our enemy.
Narrator: The children whisper to one another. All of them agree to charge at Dad.
Tammy: Let’s get ready and charge! Narrator: The three children charge at
Dad from different corners and pretend to fight with Dad.
Dad: Oh dear! I surrender! Let’s stop the game. I’m tired. Stop, please.
Tammy: Dad, are you all right?
David: Yeah! We will stop. We are the heroes.
Tom: We win. Let’s ask Dad to take us to McDonald’s. Let’s have hamburgers and fries.
3 Children: Yeah! Yeah! Yippee!!!
