for Personal Resiliency Retreats. Schedule is subject to change without notice. Transportation for MFR personnel only: POV is authorized and reimbursed from 50 to 720 miles RT according to current JFTR TDY rates. Non-MFR personnel are welcome to attend and should request TAD orders from their command. Lodging, meals, and materials are provided at the site. MERs focus on deepening married couples commitment, self-understanding, improved communication and greater satisfaction and closeness. This is not a substitute for marital or individual counseling. All couples who are legally married are welcome to attend MER. The Chaplain conducting the MER approaches the retreat according to the traditional view of marriage. No childcare is provided. Personal Resiliency Retreats are targeted for individual Marines/Sailors/family members desiring to increase self awareness, social wellness, and spiritual fitness to develop personal growth, improve readiness, increase retention and enhance resiliency. This is not a substitute for personal counseling or therapy.
