For large movements of position click here.
Use of the World map
To re-centre a map to a point which is visible on it, all that is required is a 'double click' at the required

An 'Alternate World map' feature was added to RM in Version 8.8.1 which, if implemented, can also be as in Use of the World map.
As an example of a local 'longer distance' map centre location change, (from the Peak District to Cambridg

For direct location entry, you can enter Lat/Long or QRA data by using the appropriate buttons. Your exact
location can be found by viewing your area in Google Earth, and then making a note of the cursor coordinatefor entry into Radio Mobile using the 'Enter Lat Lon' button.
Use of the World Map
Another powerful location feature in Radio Mobile is the World Map - available from 'View/World Map',
or if displayed, by clicking the toolbar icon

This causes the display of a World Map, where a 'Double click' on any location will open the Map Properties

As an additional feature it is also possible to save your local country overview map under the name of
'Wmap' in .bmp or .jpg format in the RM directory root as an alternateinitial World Map display - the mabeing displayed can be toggled to the World view using 'View/ Swap World map' command. This enables thquick re-centring of map areas with a double click of the mouse.
Alternate World map
The alternate World map shown below is one I have generated for the UK, and is available in my Base Netw- and also from my Downloads page. This map can be replaced to show your own local area of interest bychanging Wmap.jpg (or to Wmap.bmp) and Wmap.dat to your own generated files.

Finally, the map height and size can be changed to suit your requirements. Clicking 'Extract' will then caunew map to be drawn - but it will be elevation data only.
For stations in Eurasia, only the map centre coordinates need to be changed in 'Map Properties' as the elev
data source is already setup for that area.
