Education is the key for improving the quality of life in our community. When educated people are able to obtain family sustainingjobs, life is better for everyone. We all benefit when community membersare able to better their lives through education, and our graduates providevaluable services and leadership as professionals in our neighborhoods.

You can make a real difference in people’s lives by includingCumberland County College in your will or designating the Foundation as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy. When you join the VisionsSociety, your lasting legacy will dramatically improve life in our community.

Grace and Alan Woodruff donated a $100,000 lifeinsurance policy to CCC, and their generosity wasrecognized when the college named the banquetroom in the Luciano Conference Center in honor or their sons, John, right, and Mark (not pictured).

The Foundation

The Cumberland County College Foundation was established in 1967 to assist the Cumberland County College Board of Trustees in the development and growth of the college, so broader educationalopportunities and services could be provided for Cumberland Countyresidents. The Foundation is a 501 C3 A3 fully integrated charitableorganization.

Initially, the Foundation’s focus was strictly student scholarship support.Hundreds of students have been able to attend and successfully completecollege due to scholarship support.

Over the years, the Foundation has grown, and has been able to expandour realm of support to the Honors Programs, equipment needs, AlliedHealth programs, and cultural activities.

In 2002, the Foundation Board initiated the School Counts! ScholarshipProgram which provides a two year tuition scholarship to any countyhigh school student who is willing to demonstrate quality, rigor, persistence and responsibility. To date, over 600 students have benefited from the School Counts! Scholarship Program.

With the community’s support, the Cumberland County CollegeFoundation will continue to grow and assist with providing educationalopportunities for the community.
