Why Girl’s?
05.28.2018 v.01
Why Kenya?
• 62 million girls in the world are not in school today
because of poverty, lack of health care, forced marriage,
or simply because they are girls.
• In Kenya, an estimated 3.5 million children are in the
labor market, and school dropout cases are on the rise.
• The number one killer of girls under the age of 15 is early
childbirth.
“In [developing African countries], $4 could buy 3 gallons of clean drinking water, 4 dozen
eggs, several pounds of fresh produce, or 5 pounds of good white rice.” Liz Gorga, 2016

What Makes LOH Different?
Our Holistic Approach Is A True And Authentic Attempt
To Break The Cycle Of Poverty
• REFUGE Girls at LOH receive shelter, food, clean water, quality
education, and health care in a Christian family environment
• RESTORATION LOH helps those girls who have become
victims of society; girls who would otherwise be cast aside, abused,
abandoned, or orphaned. Each girl receives emotional nurturing and
counseling.
• REDIRECTION LOH provides quality education, focused on a
modernized curriculum, including technology and leadership training.
Education is their path out of poverty and key to their future success.
