How did your final main product change from the initial pitch? During the process of filming we found that many of the original concepts we had come up with in our pitch changed. This change was brought though the realisation of the new and better ideas, we also found that many of our aims were difficult to achieve. When we created the pitch we perhaps had not assessed the difficulty of achieving certain shots which explains the changes we have made.

How did your final main product change from the initial pitch?

During the process of filming we found that many of the original concepts we had come up with in our

pitch changed. This change was brought though the realisation of the new and better ideas, we also found that many of our aims were difficult to achieve. When

we created the pitch we perhaps had not assessed the difficulty of achieving certain shots which explains

the changes we have made.

• Our main concept had included a story line within a school. We soon realised that it would be difficult to provide a large cast of actors with appropriate outfits to fit the genre of 80s hip hop. We also thought that the location of school would not represent the authenticity of a typical hip hop video, which would include urban settings.

• The concept of filming in London was perhaps too ambitious. Firstly transporting the filming equipment would be difficult. Secondly it would be difficult to find random people who were dressed appropriately for our 80s video. Finally we realised that it may be difficult to find people willing to cooperate in singing and dancing.

• However we did keep the concept of 80s fun, we also included the original idea of green screening when lip synching.

• As I said before the choice of London as a location had to change due to the difficulties that came with filming there. It was a lot easy to have a smaller location that we could manipulate.

• Instead of having only one main actor, we ended up with three. The three actors represented the three members in Sugar hill gang’s song Apache. We did achieve the concept of different ages, as well as our three main actors we had younger children as extras. The ages in our video range from 4- 18 years old.

• We thought it would be a good idea to include young children in the video as they represent the fun and liveliness of a 80s video.

• We had initially expected the costumes to include school uniform as well as 80s outfits. However we decided not to film in a school environment, therefore we did not need props and costumes that would have been typical to a school environment. We kept the concept of 80s costumes, including tracksuits, gold chains and

• In our pitch we included inspiration from a video by Britney Spears, as it was set in a school. However we changed this concept, as it did not effectively represent 80s hip hop. We did keep the idea of dance within our video; you can see various shots of dancing within our video.
