Chandon Pictures follows the amusing misadventures of Tom Chandon (Rob Carlton) and his hapless video production company, run by a motley crew of two: loyal cameraman Nick (Darren Gileshenan) and pragmatic producer Lucy (Rebecca Massey).

Tom's portfolio doesn't extend much beyond wedding videos - but he's a dreamer. Shrouded in self-delusion, he manages to twist each client's brief to cater to his own documentary-making dreams.

Constant reality checks are delivered by his younger, much more successful brother Carmichael (Josh Lawson), but Tom Chandon just wants to do something great while he's alive...and all without "selling out to Hollywood".

CHANDON PICTURES - Episodic Synopses

Ep1: COUSINS Premieres Saturday 10th November at 6.30pm / encore Thursday 15th November at 10.00pm)

Tom can’t seem to get away from the usual wedding video - but this isn’t the usual wedding.

Sherbert (Kathryn Beck) and David (Ed Kavalee) are in love and have been since childhood. There’s only one problem - they’re cousins. Tom struggles to be compassionate about this project, but it could just be his next Bonzo: The Clown That Killed A Child - a documentary about “love against all odds – overcoming prejudice.” Of course, the family just wants a nice, proper video – one they can show their friends and family. The cousins aren’t allowed to be married in the church, so it’s to be a small affair, held at David’s parents’ house, beside the pool, where the happy couple first met when they were young. They have found a priest, Reverend Bevan (Angus Sampson) who is willing to perform the service.

Despite some awkward moments, the wedding goes ahead without a hitch…well, almost.

Ep2: BACK TO SCHOOLPremieres Saturday 17th November at 6.30pm / encore Thursday 22nd November at 10.00pm) Samantha Howarth (Justine Clarke) sat in the second row at school, on the left, and Tom remembers clearly that he sat just behind her. That was Year 9 - a long time ago…and now here she is in his office, after all these years. Samantha works in administration at the school, and she needs Tom’s help for Careers Day, where former students who have become successful experts in their field of employment, return to speak to the kids and inspire them about the work they do. Tom is elated, thinking he’s being invited to speak… until Samantha asks him to film the event. For free. Tom’s ego is crushed, but he pushes his way into a deal with Samantha to get the headmaster, Graham Tucker (Drew Forsythe) to allow him to talk too.

Tom isn’t exactly greeted with respect by the students when he walks onto school grounds. A bid to impress them with a juvenile ballgame in the bathroom ends in a random act of violence, and lands Tom in the headmaster’s office. It seems that things haven’t changed much for Tom since leaving school.

As the students file into the auditorium, Tom is devastated to discover that the keynote speaker is a very successful banker, Carmichael (Josh Lawson) ….his younger and much more successful brother. But Tom is determined not to let Carmichael steal all the limelight.

Short synopsis:Tom hasn’t seen Samantha since Year 9 and now she’s in his office asking for his help, to film the keynote speaker at Careers Day. Tom is devastated to discover that the keynote speaker is his younger and more successful brother Carmichael.

Ep3: BEVAN’S HEAVEN Premieres Saturday 24th November at 6.30pm / encore Thursday 29th November at 10.00pm)

Tom’s brother, Carmichael, has a potential contract for Chandon Pictures that Tom shouldn’t refuse: filming training videos for his bank. Lucy is thrilled at

the thought of a steady income. And the money will help with the serious termite problem that’s been discovered in their house. However Tom has other, much “bigger picture” ideas, such as filming the birth of a new church, “One God” – helmed by the priest from the Cousin Love wedding.

Rev Bevan (Angus Sampson) is a charming but breakaway priest, a maverick outside the traditional church who is hell bent on propagating world peace - or is it really world domination? Touting tolerance for every religion, One God will shun no one - or so Reverend Bevan claims. That is until his most devout follower Gabby (Andrea Wallis) makes an unwelcome appearance at his first sermon.

Short Synopsis:Tom’s brother, Carmichael, has a steady income offer for Chandon Pictures that Tom shouldn’t refuse – filming training videos for his bank. Tom has other ideas, filming the birth of a new church, “One God”.

Ep4: CHAMPION CHARLES Premieres Saturday 1st December at 6.30pm / encore Thursday 6th December at 10.00pm)

Helen (Penne Hackforth-Jones) is a dog-lover in the twilight of her life. Chandon Pictures have been hired to film a documentary on her Corgi, Champion Charles Wink Monte Carlo (or Winky for short) and it’s to be a canine tribute to the dog she loves so much. Tom knows full well this is not going to be his next claim to fame, but the money’s good and it’s an easy job.

However it’s really not that easy getting what they want from interviews with Daphne (Lynne McGimpsey), owner of Daphne’s Dog Grooming Service, and Helen’s daughter, Maggie (Late Mulvany) – and it gets tragically worse when it comes to filming the star of the show, Winky.

Meanwhile, Tom has a coffee with Zoe (Nadia Townsend), who worked with him on Bonzo: The Clown That Killed a Child. Zoe is now the Associate Producer to Eddie Connolly’s Northern Lights, the king of game shows. Eddie has a desire to make a doco and Tom is desperate for an introduction.

Short Synopsis:Tom and his crew have been hired to make a canine tribute to Helen’s beloved Corgi, Champion Charles Wink Monte Carlo. Tom has an inspired meeting with, Zoe, the assistant producer to the great game show producer, Eddie Connolly.

Ep5: PRIVATE DICK Premieres Saturday 8th December at 6.30pm / encore Thursday 13th December at 10.00pm)

Andrew (Michael Denkah) an old friend of Tom’s from school, is certain his wife, Annabelle (Jessica Napier), is cheating on him. Tom sees this as a great opportunity to step into the role of more than a private investigator - “a documentary will have more context” - and he sells Andrew on the idea.

Meanwhile Carmichael and Lucy keep trying to persuade Tom to work on the bank pitch, but Tom is certain that his idea for a feature documentary, Bevan’s Heaven, will be the next The Passion of the Christ. All he needs is financing.

Nick and Tom head off on their first night of detective filming, while Andrew stays behind with Lucy to…talk.

Tom surprises everyone with an announcement that he has the financing for Bevan’s Heaven from a big admirer of Chandon’s work – so they crack open the champagne.

Short Synopsis:Andrew, an old friend, is certain his wife is cheating on him and hires Tom to tail her. Tom announces he has found a financial backer.

Not everyone is pleased to learn that the financial backer is also sleeping with Tom – could this really be ‘the girlfriend?’

John (Graham Blundell) has terminal cancer and hires Chandon Pictures to film his last will and testament. It’s the usual straightforward video to his sons – no emotion – just straight from the will. Tom thinks John can do much better; after all it’s his final message to his sons, so he agrees to a re-shoot.

Tom has a meeting with Helen’s (Penne Hackforth-Jones) business manager, Mr. Gilbertson (David Ritchie) to sign the contract and discuss the plan. Short Synopsis:The crew is surprised by the financial backer. John is dying and hires Chandon Pictures to film his last will and testament the only problem it lacks feeling. Tom meets Helen’s business manger to discuss the plan.

It’s termite-killing day and Nick has resigned, conditionally, saying that they have to get the Bank job or he’s out.

Tom finally gets his meeting with Eddie Connolly (Peter Phelps), the great game show producer. Could he be their new backer for Bevan’s Heaven?

It’s presentation day at the Bank. As a relieved Lucy finishes her PowerPoint presentation, it’s Tom’s turn - can he and the Chandon video win over the suits?

Short synopsis:Nick has resigned, conditionally. Tom gets his meeting with the great game show producer, Eddie (Peter Phelps). Lucy presents her PowerPoint presentation to the bank, and then it’s Tom’s turn... Can he and the Chandon video win over the suits?

Reverend Bevan’s front page news – could this be Tom’s big break to seal the deal with Eddie? After all he has the exclusive footage.

Shane (Anthony Simcoe), a standup comic, needs an audition tape to break into Hollywood on Jay Leno. Chandon Pictures agree to film him at open-mike night at the Comedy Store. Is Shane any good? Can he make it to Hollywood?

Eddie Connolly (Peter Phelps) wants to sign a contract for Bevan’s Heaven. Lucy is anxiously awaiting news from the Bank. Nick is expecting twins. Carmichael needs money to re-stump the house.

They’re all close to the edge and need these deals - badly.

Short Synopsis:Shane a standup comic needs a video to break into Hollywood, Nick is expecting twins, Eddie wants Bevan’s Heaven, the house needs re-stumping and Chandon Pictures is on the edge.

Chandon Pictures – The Beginning

Director, writer, producer and actor, Rob Carlton, started developing Chandon Pictures over 10 years ago. He shot a 48 minute show, which Rob concedes wasn’t very good, but that inspired the character of Tom Chandon.

“He was this madly passionate documentary maker that was so committed to righting the wrongs of the world, so committed to creating social justice and a better world but was so consumed by rage and jealousy and anger and hope and love that he was just all a bag of broken bits,” says Rob.

Rob then began developing the idea of this character and the world around the desperate documentary maker. Over the next three years Rob bought in other key development writers Russell Smyth and Alex Weinress, who would also be co director on the project.

Alex’s background echoed the world of Tom’s in some ways which created immediate appeal for Alex.

He says, “The project was about a documentary film maker who had made one documentary and thought he was this great filmmaker but who made wedding videos to survive and that is basically what I was doing at the time! It’s my kind of project, it’s like when I’d seen The Office the first thing I thought of was Rob and that he’d be the perfect guy to drive a comedy like that”.

After initial rejection of the idea from some networks Rob and Alex decided to create a bit of the show for Sony Tropfest, but varying Christmas obligations meant that Rob didn’t have time to write a script, despite them having the crew ready to go, so they decided to shoot one of Rob’s stand up routines instead, Carmichael and Shane, about a father raising twins by favouring one over the other. They utilized Alex’s “verite doc style to capture the story. The films were due on the Thursday; we shot it on the Saturday morning - there was no script but we knew the story” explains Rob.

Carmichael and Shane got accepted in to the Top 16, and went on to win best film, and it was at a Tropfest party that Rob met Peter Jenetsky from Movie Network Channels.

Chandon Pictures – The Deal

Rob didn’t realise at that time that Movie Network Channels was making TV shows, however it had to be a series that fulfilled a certain criteria.

Rob explains, “Peter [from Movie Network Channels] said that it’s got to be about movies - and [our show] was a tick-list of everything he needed his show to be about. We had two scripts, a trailer and a budget in a folder at

home ready to go, so I thought, ‘Heavens above, this is unbelievable’. We dropped in the material the next week and said, ‘Have a look at this’…”

Peter Jenetsky, General Manager, Marketing & Content Strategy for Movie Network Channels acts as Excutive in Charge of Production on the project, and credits Rob’s comedic talent and his success with Tropfest in making the development deal a feasible one.

“Rob’s performance in his winning Tropfest film Carmichael & Shane gave us a glimpse of the off-kilter comedic style that he now brings to Chandon Pictures. Australian audiences who embraced the politically incorrect humour of Carmichael & Shane will once again laugh, squirm and grow to love the exploits of Tom Chandon and Co.

“Both Rob and Alex can thank John Polson and Tropfest for the opportunity to meet and pitch to executives from Movie Network Channels, resulting in finding a suitable home for Chandon Pictures on our MOVIE EXTRA channel – which is unique in that it supports edgy, original and exclusive series. Our ongoing relationship with Tropfest and its film and television production arm, the Tropfest Feature Program, is based around a shared ambition of unearthing and providing opportunity to emerging local film and television writers, producers, actors, directors and technicians.  Through Tropfest Feature Program we were also able to secure the steady and experienced hand of Ted Robinson, which brought us peace of mind that through his guidance we would end up with a quality product”.

Chandon Pictures – On A Role

Armed with full funding by Movie Network Channels for an 8-part TV series, Rob and Alex were able to begin the casting process. The series is centered around Tom Chandon helming Chandon Pictures with his trusted and loyal staff, cinematographer Nick Brenner (Darren Gilshenan) and producer Lucy Wirth (Rebecca Masey). Their headquarters are located at Tom and his clean cut banker brother, Carmichael’s (Josh Laswon) inherited house.

Each episode sees Tom and his team faced with a fee paying client, hopefully, who wishes to have a film made for their own purposes. However, Tom’s real ambition is to recapture the success of his first doco feature, “Oh No Bonzo: The Clown That Killed a Child”.

Casting the principal actors that make up the team was pivotal to the show, the actor’s had to have a good understanding of the subtleties of playing comedy, a connection to each other and be comfortable working in a naturalistic documentary style show.

With Rob in the lead role and as co- director this also meant the actors had to trust each other as much as Rob and Alex.

Alex noted that “Rob created an environment where everyone felt

empowered, that was the whole structure, no matter whether you were an actor or director. Before we’d shoot a scene we’d do rehearsals and everyone would give input on what they thought the scene was and where it would go.

The actors had such an incredible response to that because it’s the first time they’ve had that kind of empowerment to say ‘well, I feel the scene should go this way or my character should sit there.’ And it really helped because you got all the ideas on the table and the best ones won out, there wasn’t any ego in the room.”

Rob had worked with Darren previously in a role reversal when Darren had cast Rob in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, and as Darren recalls then, “we forged a really strong relationship based on a mutual kind of understanding where comedy was at and teaching each other” and Darren had been aware of Chandon since Rob had started developing it. In fact, his character was drawn from something Rob had seen Darren do in a theatre production.

Darren remembers, “Rob pulled me aside and said how much he loved it and said something about ‘your character – vital, emotional - I couldn’t believe how completely filthy you were being – but you got away with it because there was an innocence, a naivety’ - all the qualities that ultimately ended up being what the character is in this series.”

Rob also knew Rebecca’s work very well but they had never worked together previously. Rebecca said her involvement was a simple offer.

“I was writing a TV series and asked Rob to come and do a bit of collaboration to see if we could work together. We didn’t end up working together on my project but he asked me to come and we shoot this pilot.”

Rob and Alex were delighted in the casting for the main characters. Rob says, “Darren and Rebecca and Josh all command the utmost respect from us, in there own way they are truly gifted and instinctive actor’s with a work ethic and a process that has to be respected and admired so to that end you want those people in but also, when you are involved in any kind of creative dynamic, it’s not just a love-fest, you’ve got to be tough and hard and sharp”.

The guest stars for the episodes were equally as important as the main team as each guest brings with them not only a new story but a also different dynamic. Whilst Rob has a broad contact base of actors it was important to make sure they got the right look and a complimentary style to the show. Actors such as Justine Clarke, Angus Sampson, Peter Phelps, Tony Llewellyn-Jones, Gary Wadell and Jessica Napier all feature in key guest roles throughout series.

As Rob says, “We’ve got great actors doing it, they aren’t caricatures, they’re not cartoons” and he found that each guest created a different atmosphere. “There’s a different kind of funny in the room and there’s nothing worse than the same joke over and over and the same funny.”

Justine Clarke found the experience “an exercise in self control”.

“Trying not to laugh around Rob Carlton, Rebecca Massey and Darren Gilshenan can be a real challenge,” she says.

Already a tightly knit group by the time Justine was on set, she found that, “it can be a challenge to support other peoples’ work but not in this case, the cast have a very open line of communication and clear understanding of how the characters work off and with each other. That's the vital component of Chandon Pictures both on and off the screen... teamwork. I don't think the characters would function without each other, they're a very co-dependent little bunch.”

Chandon Pictures - The Technical Bit

Shot on mini DV the most unique point of filming Chandon Pictures was the visual options available to them. As well as the two production cameras, the character of Nick Brenner is also constantly filming, so Rob, Alex and editor Stafford Wales were able edit in the fly on the wall documentary footage that Darren took during filming.

The “NickCam” was an artistically new challenge for Darren. “I was trained up by the camera department and the camera which is called ‘Nick cam’ will look different. The quality of my camera is where a lot of interviews stayed – when we should have pressed the stop button – when a scene ends Nick’s cam keeps rolling so it will often catch when people think they’re not being filmed,” he says.

For Alex, having a background as a documentary maker meant that he was focused on the actors’ performances, but in reality his biggest challenge was: “as a documentary maker I’d always shot and edited everything later so having to get other people to execute what your vision is and what you want, is the communication game, getting what you want from other people.”

With Rob wearing many hats on this project and Alex as a first time TV series director, keeping the production in line relied significantly on line producer, Lachlan Imrie. Lachlan had put together a budget proposal 9 months previously and was delighted when Movie Network Channels came on board. In keeping with Alex and Rob’s creative thinking, Lachlan wanted to fill the key creative spots with “the right people and personalities as opposed to the most ‘experienced’.”

Lachlan says, “Because of the size of the budget we also needed people to fix solutions with creative thinking as opposed to a cheque. What was important for me was that every crew member from the runner up wanted to work on the series not for a pay cheque but because they like they show and wanted to be part of the team.”

Key Cast

Rob Carlton – Tom Chandon

Rob Carlton has been a professional actor since he was 14 years old. He is a recognized face in Australia for both comedy and drama in TV, films and the theatre.

Rob’s TV credits include roles in All Saints, Fireflies, McLeod’s Daughters and Water Rats.

In 2006 Rob wrote, starred in, co-directed and co-produced the short film, Carmichael and Shane, which won Sony Tropfest. Rob also starred in the film How Many Doctors Does it Take to Change a Lightbulb, which won Best Comedy at the festival. He also won Best Actor for his two performances in both films – the first time an actor has appeared in two finalist’s films.

Rob’s play, A-Framed, was first produced by his company in 1998 to critical and box office success and has since been produced in Sydney and Melbourne.

Tom Chandon

Rob describes Tom as: “Professionally, Tom is committed to delivering honesty and truth through documentary film making. He is earnest, outspoken, and knows what is right. Well, some of the time. Often, he is subject to large feats of self-delusion. Like the ‘success’ he enjoyed with his first documentary film: “Oh No Bozo! The clown that killed a child.” It’s a success he’d love to taste again, but so far he hasn’t managed it. No matter. He’ll make their stories, these people that come to him for his raw talent, his extraordinary insight, his cinematic skill (we did mention deluded, didn’t we?). He’ll bring something special to their run-of-the-mill projects. He’ll bring truth. Or his version of it anyway”

Rebecca Massey – Lucy Wirth

Rebecca graduated with an Honours Degree in Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Auckland University, New Zealand. She worked for 3 months as a lawyer before bursting into tears, leaving at lunch and never returning.

Since moving to Australia, Rebecca has worked extensively with Company B, most recently as Queen Marie in Exit the King starring Geoffrey Rush, and Gertrude in The Underpants. Other credits with Company B include: Macbeth, Cloudstreet, The Small Poppies (Sydney Festival and Dublin Festival productions), The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Seagull, WASP and The Alchemist.

Rebecca’s TV credits include All Saints, Stepfather of the Bride, Small Claims, Grass Roots and Bloodsports.

Rebecca has appeared in the feature film Son of the Mask as well as Gary Eck’s short film Final Call. She has just finished filming The Black Balloon, a feature starring Toni Collette and Gemma Ward.

Rebecca was nominated for a Helpman Award for her role in Steve Martin’s play The Underpants. Rebecca won a Green room Award for Best Female Performer in the role of Pearl in Stephen Sewell’s play It Just Stopped. Rebecca has recently been nominated for a Helpman Award for Best Supporting Actress in It Just Stopped.

Lucy Wirth

Rebecca’s mantra for Lucy is “Make more money. Make any money. Make some money. Hold it together.

Lucy doesn’t seem too interested in being famous – or going to Hollywood. She’s just interested in power. Lucy says in the beginning, “These people have come to us with their hope and dreams with an image of what they want their life to be” – and that’s what it’s about. For the clients that come in as well as the Chandon team.”

Darren Gilshenan – Nick Brenner

Graduating from The National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1988, Darren has made fifteen appearances with Bell Shakespeare, including Measure For Measure, Wars Of The Roses, The Servant Of Two Masters - for which he received the Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor in a Play in 2004, The Comedy Of Errors - for which he received a Green Room Award nomination, Henry 4, Henry 5, Much Ado About Nothing, The Taming Of The Shrew, Pericles, Twelfth Night and Macbeth. Darren created the movement design for the players in Bell Shakespeare's Hamlet. He has also conducted student workshops for Bell Shakespeare's Education Programme. Darren was recently awarded the Gloria Dawn Gloria Payten Scholarship for 2007 and will be heading to England to co-write a one man show based on Shakespeare’s clowns with Christopher Harris from the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Other theatre credits include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Players and Last Cab To Darwin for Pork Chop Productions; Moby Dick, a Queensland Theatre Company and Marion Street Theatre co-production; A Midsummer Night's Dream in the Botanical Gardens; Alive At Williamstown Pier for Griffin Theatre Company; The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare (Abridged) for Spirit Entertainment; and The Venetian Twins for the 2000 Olympic Arts Festival. Darren was recently seen as Cuddlepie in Neil Armfield’s production of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie for Company B and the

Sydney Festival. He is currently rehearsing Not Like Beckett for Northern Rivers Performing Arts. Later this year he will be seen in Bell Shakespeare’s The Government Inspector alongside William Zappa.

Darren's film and television credits include Idiot Box, Dark City, Swinger (winner Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize), Police Rescue, Full Frontal and Dossa and Joe (BBC/Granada). In 2005, he wrote, co-directed and starred in Derrick, which was launched on the Comedy Channel.

Nick Brenner

As Tom’s side kick Darren describes Nick as “a complex character – the fact that one half of him is completely socially incompetent and clumsy but he’s got a massive head for weird bits of trivia so he’s kind of intelligent, in a sense of what you would call intelligence, that he can harbor information but he has no social way of processing that behavioral pattern. He’s the kind of character that doesn’t think he just acts intuitively.”

Josh Lawson – Carmichael Chandon

Josh graduated in 2001 from NIDA then spent a year studying improvising

techniques in Los Angeles at the Second City and The Groundlings.

Josh had a recurring role in Home and Away as well as guest roles in Blue

Heelers and All Saints. He is one of the most popular guest stars in Thank

God You're Here, is currently seen on Sea Patrol, and will soon be seen in the

new ABC comedy The Librarians.

His film credits include the Mick Molloy feature BoyTown as well as short films

Charmed Robbery and The Mystic Halls of Time. His stage credits include

Alex Weinress - Co Director

American born, director, producer, writer, cinematographer and editor, Alex Weinress, is an award winning filmmaker. Alex and good friend Rob Carlton won the 1st Prize at the 2006 Tropfest for their short film Carmichael and Shane, the 6 minute black comedy about a single father who has a unique approach to raising his two-year old twin boys . The film has gone on to win the Audience Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as well as screenings at the Telluride, Tribeca and Seattle Film Festivals.

Alex also produced and directed the critically acclaimed documentary feature , The Last Game. The film premiered at SXSW in 2002, won Best Documentary at the Sonoma valley Film Festival and received the Special Jury Award at the 2003 Worlfest in Houston.

Bruce Young – DOP

Bruce has been working in television drama for over fifteen years.

He has come to prominence recently over his work as Director of Photography on Foxtel's edgy drama, Dangerous.

Bruce began his career in the lighting department with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation working on such programs as Brides of Christ and The Leaving of Liverpool.

He quickly moved to camera operating and his credits include Wildside (ABC), Jessica (Ch 10), Water Rats (Ch 9), All Saints (Ch 7), McLeods Daughters (Ch 9) and the Australian feature film Hating Alison Ashley.

As a DOP Bruce's credits include, Chandon Pictures (Movie Network Channels), Dangerous (Fox8), and Farscape ( US Series).

Heath Watt - Executive Producer

Heath has been involved in the Australian film and television production business for over a decade. He spent a considerable period working as a television and film lawyer and business affairs executive both in private practice and in-house representing both television broadcasters and independent producers. More recently, Heath has held senior executive positions with Australia’s international television network, Australia Network.

Lachlan Imrie – Line Producer

Lachlan is an experienced line producer and production manager. He has worked extensively on commercials, corporate films and music videos. He

has worked on several Bollywood feature films including I Have begun to Like You, Hearts Desire, AJ and Tom Yum Goong as well as the Thai martial arts film The Protector.

Russell Smyth - Script development

Russell is a Creative Director at high profile Sydney advertising agency, the Campaign Palace. Strangely enough, he also spent 9 years working as a high school science teacher. He developed his comedy writing skills over that time by writing for Doug Mulray’s Triple M breakfast radio program, later making a successful leap into stand-up comedy and featuring at many of Sydney and Melbourne’s major comedy venues.

Kirsten Buls – Costume Designer

Kirsten Buls has many years of experience in TVCS, television, film and theatre. Having worked in many areas throughout the costume dept from art finishing and construction to buying and coordinating this is Kirsten’s first credit as costume designer. Her television experience includes Fireflies, Jessica and Headland. Commercials and stills were where most of her design and styling work came from until she became Chandon Pictures costume designer.

Stafford Wales – Editor

A graduate of the AFTRS Editing program, Stafford started out as an Assembly Editor on All Saints. After various television editing work, including Pizza for SBS and JTV for the ABC, and further Assembly Editing on Mcleod’s Daughters and Love My Way, he worked as editor on Channel Ten’s The Surgeon (Dir Matt Saville), and later on McLeod’s Daughters for the Nine Network (Dir Steve Jodrell).

Ted Robinson – Executive Producer

As a respected Producer / Director, Ted Robinson has been involved in Australian television, film and theatre for over three decades. In recent years he has had several satirical comedy series on the ABC (The Glass House) and on free to air commercial TV (Good News Week).  He produces The Side Show (ABC) and has a number of comedy/drama projects in development through his company, GNWTV.

Peter Jenetsky – Executive in Charge of Production

With 17 years' experience in the media industry Peter has worked with some of Australia’s largest media organisations, including senior roles with

Austereo and The Seven Network, and is now GM of Marketing and Content Strategy for Movie Network Channels. In this role he is responsible for the marketing of the channel brands as well as developing new content opportunities for the channels. In recent years he has expanded the programming to include both scripted series, observational documentary, and entertainment formats such as the film-making competition, Project Greenlight, and the television adaptation of the live theatre event, Short & Sweet.
