PAGE 4 July 2016 The Douglas County Chamber will host the annual Chamber Golf Classic on Friday, September 23rd at Mirror Lake Golf Club. More than 250 golfers are expected to parcipate in the 2016 Classic, presented by GreyStone Power. In addion to the golfers, there will be more than 100 businesses represented as sponsors of the tournament and 100 volunteers parcipang. The Chamber Golf Classic has consistently been known as one of the most memorable golf tournaments in the region. Golfers and parcipants will “Have a Ball” at this year’s tournament, and will be treated to great meals all day at the Breakfast Café, Grills on the Green for lunch and dinner at the 19th Hole Aſter Par-TEE sponsored by Georgia Power. Golfers also have the opportunity to have a team photo taken with their names featured on the electronic (PGA style) leader board. Prizes will be awarded for the Pung Contest, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin contests in addion to the chance to win a car during the Hole In One Contest. Golfers will be provided with swag bags filled with great giſts and will also have a chance to win raffle prizes provided by sponsors at each hole on the course. Registraon officially ends September 15th, but this event is expected to sell out early. Please contact the Douglas County Chamber at 770.942.5022 for more informaon on sponsorships or to register as a golfer. You do not have to be a member of the Chamber to play. The Douglas County Chamber will host the annual Chamber Golf Classic on Friday, September 23rd at Mirror Lake Golf Club. Young Gamechangers is a leadership action program that brings together 50 of Georgia’s brightest minds under the age of 40, to help solve persistent challenges of ONE Georgia community. Each class works for six months to generate big ideas and recommendations for persistent chal-lenges in a Georgia community which they present to the community at the conclusion of the program.

GeorgiaForward’s third Young Gamechangers program worked in Douglas-ville/Douglas County from January until June of 2016 and included 45 young professionals from across Georgia. They worked in ar-eas such as arts and culture, downtown, education and economic develop-ment.
