The 65th Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration will be held Thursday, March 26, 2020, at
the Prizery. The Annual Membership Meeting is one of the most popular events of the year, bringing together a cross-section of Chamber Members, business leaders, elected officials
and community stakeholders. The event celebrates a year of Halifax County Chamber’s accomplishments and highlights those members that have had an exceptional influence on the community and economy. Board members are celebrated for their com-mitment to the Chamber including
announcing new Board members and thanking out-going Board members.
Corporate sponsorships and indi-vidual tickets are available. For more information on the Chamber’s Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration, call the Chamber office at 434-572-3085 or visit www.halifaxchamber.net.
The holiday season is now fully upon us, making this one of
the most important shop-ping times for our locally owned and operated busi-nesses. Please think twice when considering any online shopping that could easily be completed at any one of our many local businesses. If you are time starved, remember that gift cards from these merchants and local restaurants also make great gifts.
The money you spend — regardless of the amount — will stay local, benefitting not only the businesses you patronize, but the commu-nity in general, and that
will help provide for a better quality of life for all.
The Halifax County Chamber of Commerce has long promoted the “shop local” principle. Chamber Checks can be purchased at the Chamber office, located
at 180 Factory Street, in increments of $10, $20, $25 and $50 by anyone...your mother, your friend, YOU, your boss...and given as a gift or reward.
Chamber Checks can be used to purchase merchan-dise, products or services at over 70 different member locations. “Chamber Checks are a real benefit to our community,” stated Cham-ber President, Mitzi McCor-mick. “The use of Chamber Checks ensures that this money is spent in the com-munity, benefiting Chamber member businesses, thereby benefiting the community while giving more options for gifts.”

WeLcoMeTo The chamber
2019 was a year of hard work, dedication, change and growth for the
Halifax County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has brought the region many exciting events and new initiatives this year and we have enjoyed meeting new members, business associates, and friends.
We appreciate the support of our board of directors, vol-unteers, members, and the business community in general as we work hard to bring the best value to those we serve.
Members represent the very core of our organiza-tion. Their ongoing dedication and participation in Cham-ber committees, community events, and local outreach have made a significant contribution to our region.
So, from all of us here at the Chamber, may your Christmas be filled with joy, celebration and peace as you welcome the New Year!
