The Beulah Chamber of Commerce will host an Annual Meeting on Monday January 11th at Fanatics Sports Bar & Grill. There will be a so-cial beginning at 6:00pm with a meal and program to follow. Three Directors are eligible for re-election: 1. Jerald Isaak 2. Marie Mettle 3. Sylvia Zeiszler Nominations are also being taken for Chamber Member of the Year awards. If you have a nomination, please provide a short description of why you are nominating the person along with their name. Nomina-tions will be taken until Friday Januray 8th at 5pm. Please RSVP to the Chamber office by Wednesday January 6th if you plan to attend the meeting.

TUNGE’S TAKE Happy New Year! If you’re like me this time of year finds you refreshed and ready to go for a new adventure! Hopefully the Christmas holiday left you feeling full of family, friends and good food. December was another great month for the Chamber. The weather was fantastic for the Hometown Holiday Walk Around. It was great to see so many people out and about. Santa visited with about 300 children and businesses all over town were packed with people. I didn’t even get to stop in everywhere because I could-n’t find parking or get in the door at some stops! Thank you to all who took the time to make delicious food and welcome people into your business. I heard nothing but great comments from people about the event. Jerry and Monica Isaak graciously hosted the Chamber Christmas social following the walk around. It was nice to unwind, visit and laugh with good people. Thank you to the Isaak’s and their staff for hosting us! St. Nick’s Picks were also a huge success! Winners were drawn on December 16th and all but one prize have been picked up. The winners were thrilled and expressed their appreciation to each business for partici-pating. The presentation to the City Council on Monday December 7th didn’t result in the outcome we were hoping for, but there was some good news. The City Council approved moving forward with the remodeling project if we choose to pursue it on our own. The Council was reluctant to allocate any funds for the building at this time. The Mayor stated there are just too many other projects going on right now to be able to provide any funding assistance. The Chamber and CVB boards have met and discussed options after learning there would be no contributions from the City. While the goal remains to present the best image of Beulah we possibly can while serving our customers, the boards have decided to table the remodeling plans. In the mean time, we will be exploring other options, including the possibility of relocation to meet our needs more effectively. As we look forward to the new year, I want to thank each of you for all your support over the past few months. Planning has begun for the many events the Chamber hosts each year and we even have a few new ideas! I’m excited at the possibilities the new year holds. I look forward to working with you all as we ad-vance the mission of the Beulah Chamber of Commerce. Here’s to great things in 2016! Cheers, Sarah

Jerry and Monica Isaak and their staff really do ‘Do It Best’ when it comes to supporting the Chamber. They are happy to participate and donate to the various special events hosted by the Chamber. Jerry is active on several event committees including the Big Buck Contest. Their store has it all and is a one stop shop for things from nuts and bolts so household items to grills. We are lucky to such active and dedicated members.
