As we say farewell to 2016, I’d like to
take the opportunity to Thank all
Chamber members and friends of the
Chamber who have given their time,
knowledge and experience. By serving
on a committee or task force, they have
helped promote education, supported the
business community and empowered
future leaders. Without their assistance
it would not have been possible to host
over 40 ribbon cutting ceremonies,
conduct multiple ground breaking
ceremonies and educational sessions,
offer over 40 networking events, two
candidate forums; as well as, welcome
over 70 new members. In addition, a
new program was launched this year
called ZipEdTech which is an e-
Learning platform with interactive tools
for instruction and training. Lifestyle
Health Plans is another program offered
which gives members assistance on
better health behaviors. Thank you again and on behalf of the
Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce
Board of Directors and staff, we wish
you a happy and safe holiday
season. We also look forward to seeing
you in a prosperous 2017!

SHOE SENSATION COLLECTS
SOCKS FOR TROOPS Shoe Sensation is collecting socks for active Military
and local Veterans
NOVEMBER 1st-DECEMBER 24th, 2016-Shoe Sensation, a regional chain of name brand family shoe stores,
is sponsoring Socks For Troops company wide. Each store will be collecting socks for active duty military or local
veterans in or around the community. Shoe Sensation will have military approved socks in store and customers
will be able to receive 20% off the socks donated. Customers will also be able to bring in new socks to be donated.
“Socks are something we take for granted as most of us have nice clean socks every day to put on. The holidays
are quickly approaching and it’s important for us to think about the thousands of US military men and women
deployed overseas in harsh, war ravaged places, and most likely spending the holidays away from their family. I
am honored to be part of a company that gives back to the community,” Said Kelli Gill, Area Director and second
time participant of Socks for Troops.
Socks for Troops will be going on now until December 24, 2016. Please visit your local Shoe Sensation for details
on where the socks will be delivered. To find a Shoe Sensation near you, visit shoesensation.com and click on
locations. As of Sunday, November 27th,
Shoe Sensation’s Socks 4 Troops
program has collected 3,996 pairs
of socks and 585 shoe laces for
local veterans and active duty
military overseas!

CONGRATULATIONS
WARRENSBURG COLLISION!
Eight of the fastest growing companies in Missouri
were honored with the 2016 Missouri Chamber Fast
Track award during the Missouri Chamber of
Commerce and Industry’s Annual Meeting and
Awards Banquet held at Big Cedar Lodge in
Ridgedale, Mo., on Dec. 8, 2016.
“These are the companies that are driving economic
growth in Missouri,” said Dan Mehan, Missouri
Chamber president and CEO. “We consider these
companies the superheroes of our economy. Many
have overcome significant obstacles to be where they
are today, but through hard work, innovation and
perseverance they are thriving and providing
thousands of Missourians with good paying jobs and
opportunities.”
Warrensburg Collision, Warrensburg Fixing things is what Warrensburg Collision
does best. Casey Lund’s business was started by
his dad, but his dad didn’t want his son to follow
in to the business. Instead, Casey went to busi-
ness school. But when his dad got sick, Casey
came back to run the business and he realized
this was the place he was meant to be all along.
Lund brought together the business concepts he
learned in school with his family’s expertise in
collision repair and the combination has set War-
rensburg Collision apart from all others in its
field. Annual revenue has nearly doubled to $2
million over the last three years.
Fifty years ago, in the town of Warrensburg,
Missouri, a group of dedicated basketball
players became a source of pride for the entire
community by posting a perfect season record
of 27-0. This talented Warrensburg High
School Varsity Boys Basketball team went on
to win the 1967 Class ‘M’ Missouri State
Championship, solidifying their place in
Warrensburg history.
Warrensburg High School will be recognizing
the 50th Anniversary of the 1967 Basketball
Team on Friday, December 16, 2016, prior
to the varsity basketball game versus Nevada
at approximately 7:00 pm. The Warrensburg
School District invites you to join them at
Warrensburg High School, 1411 South
Ridgeview Drive, to celebrate the
accomplishments of this amazing team.
