THE CHALLENGE

Natura is researching a vegetable based molecule of low environmental impact that is insoluble in water and oil for phase separation purposes. This ingredient will be applied in one of the phases in triphasic oils of Natura meeting all function needs of Hexylene Glycol.

A Natura está em busca de um ingrediente de origem vegetal e baixo impacto ambiental que seja insolúvel em óleo e água para separação destas fases.

Este ingrediente será utilizado como uma das fases em óleos trifásicos da Natura cumprindo as funcionalidades do hexilenoglicol.

TRIPHASIC OILS AND HEXYLENE GLICOL

Hexylene Glycol is currently applied in the intermediate phase of the triphasic oil system.

Triphasic oil systems from Natura are developed with ingredients containing different densities to form the three phases with exuberant colors, light texture providing and burst of fragrance at the application step.

Therefore in to obtain a higher content of vegetable based index and reduce the environmental impact Natura is searching for an ingredient to replace Hexylene glycol.

Proposals will be received at Natura Campus Portal (www.naturacampus.com.br) and there are no limits on the number of projects to be submitted per person.

Developed and under development Technologies will be received in addition to research projects proposals.

Final submission deadline shall be from 22/08/13 through 13/11/13.

EVALUATIONSubmitted proposals will be evaluated in sequential steps based on the following criteria:

1. Benefit of the technology submitted 2. Maturity level of the technology submitted3. Required time to make the technology available 4. Application Potential 5. Vegetable content level/ production process6. Environmental impact

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The contestants with better scores will be invited to come to our Natura site to meet the team in charge to this Challenge and of the product development process team of the company to verify the chances of application of the submitted proposal.
