The story started in 2016 when 3 entrepreneurs who have scaled up billion dollar plus entities with successful IPOs came together and decided to set the first privately owned accelerator in Bahrain. Their vision was focused on enhancing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region by providing a platform that supports, teaches, encourages and inspires entrepreneurs to take bold and necessary steps to innovate, create and share prosperity in their respective countries. CH9 now is a world class space in Bahrain that will be starting the journey to accelerate both startups and scale ups.

Beginning

CH9s Vision is to work with key players such as governments, industry bodies, educational institutions and entrepreneurs to make the MENA region a fully developed place for entrepreneurs to flourish.

CH9s mission is to focus on setting up CH9 hubs in 25 MENA cities by 2025 to foster economic, entrepreneurial and social development in those countries.

CH9 and Iris Capital have been partners in which Iris Capital has an active presence in Bahrain in the CH9 facility. Iris Capital was a pioneer in MENA venture capital by being the first international fund manager that is regulated by the CBB. Iris Capital can contribute to the Bahrain innovation ecosystem by being in regular interactions with the startup community, other accelerators and investors as well as the technology business community. In addition, Iris Capital is willing to play in active mentorship role and provide increased direct financing for Bahraini Startups.
