TÜV Rheinland, a world leader in functional safety and industrial cybersecurity, provides suitably qualified and experienced cybersecurity professionals a way to have their expertise formally recognised by their employers, peers, customers and clients.

Candidates that meet the required standards will be certified and registered by TÜV Rheinland. Their professional qualification can be published on the Certipedia website. Successful candidates will be able to use the title Certified Operational Technology Cybersecurity Professional (TÜV) and have access to discounted events, activities and other benefits as may be available from time to time.

The Certified Operational Technology Cybersecurity Professional (TÜV) certification program actively assesses candidates using a combination of a professional career review, interview and technical examination.
Candidates worldwide will prove their knowledge in the following areas:
· Combine general and specialist operational technology (OT) cybersecurity engineering knowledge and under-standing
· Application of theoretical and practical OT cybersecurity methods to the analysis and solution of cybersecurity problems
· Provision of technical and commercial leadership in the OT cybersecurity domain
· Proof of effective interpersonal skills
· Demonstration of a personal commitment to professional standards, recognising obligations to society, the profession and the safety of industrial and operational technology related implementations
Certified experts are expected to continue their professional development and must undergo a new evaluation by TÜV Rheinland every three years to retain their certification.

Candidates for the new certification program should have at least ten years of experience in cybersecurity, including five years in leadership roles. To prepare for the exam candidates are asked to create a structured case study.
