To cater to the needs of industry, TCB Cert. has developed this unique course to develop overall understanding and knowledge and competence in Inspection and Quality verification personnel to deliver most reliable results and greater assurance on product quality.
1.0 Course Content This course equips delegates with knowledge and skills required for Inspection with focus on Welding Technology and Inspection of Weldment Painting technology –for Corrosion protection Metallurgy and steel making Material Testing and Certification General application of NDT Manufacturing process and Inspection requirements of few commonly used industrial equipment as per International Standards e,g. API, ASME Duration: 6 days (48 Hours)
2.0 Who Should Attend?
Engineers and Diploma holders aspiring to develop career in Production, Inspection, Quality Control and Quality Assurance .
Fresh Engineers, final year engineering students are illegible to attend the program
3.0 Certification.
An examination is held at the end of the course. Accredited certificate shall be issued to successful candidate in the following grades
Certificate of Attendance: Below 50% ; Moderately
Proficient:50-59% , Proficient 60-69 % ; Highly Proficient: 70-80 % ;Certified with Distinction: above 81 %

Welding Process- GTAW (TIG)
Welding Process-GMAW(MIG)
GMAW , Gas Metal Arc welding also known as Metal Inert Gas welding is one of the most extensively used welding process used in fabrication industry, Very high productive process yielding quality weld deposit. Extensively used for heavy fabrication, Cranes, Pressure vessels, Mining Products, Heat Exchangers , Columns. welding of carbon ,steel and Stainless steel . Pulsed MIG is used even for positional Welding. We cover WPS approval process , controls , expected weld defects and remedies.
Welding Process –SMAW(MMAW)
SMAW , shielded Metal Arc welding also known as manual metal arc welding is one of the most extensively used welding process used in piping industry, construction of Flow Lines, in-situ welding, pipelines, also structural fabrication. SMAW is used even for pressure vessels and heat exchanger even though not very efficient process. We cover WPS approval process, controls , expected weld defects and remedies
GTAW , Gas Tungsten Arc welding also known as Tungsten Inert Gas welding is one of the most extensively used welding process used in piping, for low carbon steel, Stainless steel and exotic materials such as Monel. Inconel. Hastelloy, Low productive process but produces high quality of weld when precision is of outmost importance. Extensively used for root welding of carbon ,steel and Stainless steel including exotic materials We cover a approval process , controls , expected weld defects and remedies.
Submerged Arc Welding -SAW
SAW , is one of the most extensively used welding process used in industry, A very high productive process yielding quality weld deposit. Extensively used for heavy fabrication, Cranes, Pressure vessels, Mining Products, Heat Exchangers , Columns, long Seam and Spiral welded Pipes. Uses granular flux with limitation of welding only in downhill position

Static Equipment
Pressure Vessels Pressure vessels are extensively used in Oil & Gas
industry and built as per various national/
International standard , most commonly used is ASME
Boiler and pressure vessel code. Some of the equipment
covered under pressure vessels includes Boilers,
Seperators, Desalters, Furnaces , distillation columns ,
knock out drums including heat exchangers.
We cover basic concept of a pressure vessels, materials
used , manufacturing process and inspection process
and certification requirement. You will get an
excellent working knowledge and ready to deliver.
Vertical Storage Tank
We cover basic concept of a pressure vessels, materials used , manufacturing process and inspection
process and certification requirement. You will get an excellent working knowledge and ready to
work in storage tank industry.
Vertical storage tanks are extensively used for storage of crude oil , finished petroleum products e.g
HSD, Petrol, Kerosene, also water .
Vertical Storage tanks are designed ,manufactured and inspected as
per API 620 and API 650 , can be fixed cone roof or floating roof ;
primarily field constructed while small ones can be built in factory
and transported to site. Modern method uses jacking system while
convention system of construction is still used in several part of the
world.
Long Seam SAW Pipes
Long seam saw pipes are extensively used in
pipeline industry for transportation of water, Oil
and Gas.
Conventional method uses “U”ing and “O”ing
process while modern method uses 3 Roll system.
Pipes are welded using SAW process internally
and externally, internally expanded, tested using
NDT methods and subsequently hydrostatically
tested as per API 5L requirement. We have
developed excellent videos to create a visual
effect on learning.

Spiral Welded SAW Pipes
Spiral Pipes are used extensively in Oil & Gas industry
for Process and utility piping, Cross-country pipelines
etc.
Made as per API 5L standard from coils by forming
helical seam and welded inside and outside using
Submerged Arc welding process. The entire process of
production and inspection requirements are covered.
Video , real inspection documents e.g ITP, Standard
requirement , materials test records inspection reports
are used are used to give a hands on experience
Electrode Specification and Manufacturing Process
Selection of right electrode is most important
consideration for a sound and high quality welding.
In this section we cover the electrode selection process
including Schaefler diagram for selection of electrode
for dissimilar steels such as Carbon steel to stainless
Steel .
We cover electrode manufacturing process
briefly such as SMAW, GTAW and MIG
filler wires. You get a an excellent knowledge
on electrode manufacturing industries .You
will learn the how electrodes are made, quality
of electrodes maintained , testing and
certification requirement e.g test of all weld
samples, certification of electrode for
achievable mechanical and chemical properties

Seamless Pipes
Seamless Pipes are used extensively in Oil & Gas
industry for Process and utility piping, in - plant
piping, Flow Lines, Hook ups , Cross country
pipelines etc.
Made as per API 5L and ASTM/ASME standard from
sold billets by piercing process, subsequent sizing,
straitening, heat treatment. The entire process of
production and inspection requirements are covered.

Pipelines & Flow Lines
Pipelines are used for transportation of Oil and
Gas , water etc. while flow lines are used to
transport crude oil from Oil & Gas wells to
Gathering center , injecting water separated from
crude oil gathering center back to the well.
Pipeline and flow lines are constructed as per
API 1104 standard. We cover pipeline /Flowline
welding process. Painting and Coating process
and NDT, Hydrostatic test and pipe laying
Pressure Piping
Piping is network of pipe spools used for in-plant
process. Pressure piping is governed by international/
National standards, most popular is American National
Standard ANSI 31.3 ,31.4

ISO 9001 Awareness Program Most extensively used management system standard in the
world to ensure controlled processes to ensure consistent quality
of product and services. We cover the quality Management
principles, standard requirement, implementation process and
how to perform internal audit and apply the Standard’s
requirement in your work while you work in manufacturing or
service sectors. ISO 9001 standard is a must for each and every
professionals
ISO 17020 -Awareness
A standard for accreditation of bodies performing
inspection. A must learning for professionals in
inspection and certification business , typically those
work in third party inspection bodes and societies. The
standard gives requirement for independent quality
verification for added assurance to customers and
public in general
Cranes
Cranes are essential part of any industry-manufacturing-construction, material handling. Depending on
application various types of cranes are used such as EOT Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Mobile , Crawler, Tower
cranes. Most of them uses advanced hydraulic system. Crane operation poses risk on plants, assets and human
life and therefore needs periodic inspection besides inspection and certification during manufacturing . Our
course includes fundamentals design concept, manufacturing and testing and certification process as per
international Standards .
Course Accreditation and Worldwide Recognition TCB CQVP Course has been developed and is offered under controlled management system developed in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 standard .The course is also under accreditation by an international accreditation authority as per ISO 17024, an International standard for Certification of Persons The process of certification is fair, transparent, and independent meeting the highest
degree of international standard for certification of persons.
Examination & Certification
Training: The course is delivered by TCB Approved Training Centers (ATC) using TCB
approved course materials . Recommended minimum study hours is 48 .
Examination and Certification: Upon completion of mandatory training hours conducted
under supervision and monitoring of an ATC, the participants shall appear for a written test and
practical examination administered independently by TCB Cert Worldwide LLC within one year
from the training completion date. Certification shall be granted from the date of examination
Certification Grades:
Moderately Proficient: 50-59%
Proficient: 60-69 %
Highly proficient: Minimum score to pass the examination is 70-80 %
Certified with Distinction: above 81 %
Validity of Certification:
Initial Certification :3 years.
Triennial Renewal of Certification: Candidates willing to renew CQVP certification can do so
by completing an recertification examination online/face to face in TCB Approved Training
Centers
Grade Improvement by Examination: Participants can improve their result by re-appearing
examination within one year from attending the first examination date with additional fees. New
certificate shall be issued to candidates in qualifying grades with validity for the remaining part of
first 3-year certification period.
