All students are directed to bring following documents for E-Registration:-
Original Matric/O-level& equivalent certificate + 2 attested copies
Original FSc/A-level &equivalent certificate+ 2 attested copies
Original BE degree (Provisional Certificate if degree has not yet been issued) +
2 attested copies
Original Transcript + 2 attested copies
Copy of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration.
All degrees must be confirmed from parent institutions and attested by HEC.
Otherwise registration will not be done
Equivalence must also be produced in case of foreign qualifications
Medical fitness certificate duly signed by a legal medical practitioner, certifying
that you do not suffer from a communicable disease and are fit to under-go the
engineering course
Disable student, if any, will render a certificate that he is able to attend the
classes and is fit to undergo academic activities at the college. Specimen is
attached as annexure ‘A’
Character Certificate duly verified from the institute last attended/concerned
police station. Specimen is attached as annexure ‘B’
A “Surety Bond” typed on a stamp paper of Rs: 100/- duly attested by a Class I
Magistrate along with 2 x copies. Sample of the bond is given as Annexure ‘C’.
An amount of Rs: 6000 will be deposited by the students on account of security
fee (@ Rs: 200 pm) plus internet charges (@ Rs: 50 pm) for on- campus
duration (2 years)
Need based scholarship application form (along with all supporting documents)
Only for needy students. Needy students with parents’ gross income less than
Rs. 40,000/- from all sources, can apply for need based scholarship. Details are
placed as Anx D. Forms can be downloaded from

Certificate of “Noninvolvement in political activities” as per Annexure ‘E’.
Certificate/undertaking countersigned by parents/guardian regarding non-
involvement in political activities. Specimen is attached as annexure ‘F’
Note: WITHOUT ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS STUDENTS WILL NOT BE REGISTERED
Also note the following:-
Vehicle Registration Form to be filled at the reception desk for issuance of sticker
for car/motor cycle.
For accommodation the students can apply online by visiting college website.
Students will be issued with College ID cards after completion of registration process. Rs: 400/- (Rupees four hundred only) will be deposited by the students as ID card charges. In/out from the college gate will only be through College ID card
Students are also directed to read fol instructions before joining the college:- Opening of Bank Account . All students will open a bank account in
National Bank of Pakistan, College of E & ME Branch. Students will give
their account numbers along with title of account to NUST accounts office,
College of E & ME. Otherwise their registration will not be carried out.
User ID and Password for Campus Management System (CMS) . Students will be issued with user ID and passwords for using CMS on the
day of registration. These will be used by the students to access the CMS
for all types of information regarding their class attendance, fee challans etc.
Dues . All students will receive fee challan on line through CMS. AFTER
DEPOSITING THE FEE THE STUDENT MUST SUBMIT COLLEGE COPY
OF CHALLAN FORM TO NUST ACCOUNT OFFICE, COLLEGE OF E &
ME FOR RECORD. Tuition fee will be payable on semester basis. All types
of payments including tuition fee, hostel dues/mess bills and other related
dues must be deposited within the given time period/before start of
semester.
Change of Address/contact number . College authorities remain in
contact with parents /guardians regarding student’s progress throughout the
semester. The semester results are invariably sent to the parents through e-
mails. Therefore, students must ensure that the postgraduate coordinators
of respective departments are immediately intimated about any change in
the email address and/or telephone numbers of their parents/guardian or
their own numbers.
Accommodation . Students may be accommodated in the “NUST Hostels”
on first come first serve basis. Limited accommodation is available for which
students can apply online by visiting college website. Bank draft of Rs:
10,000 in the name of Commandant College of E&ME will be submitted as
hostel security fee. Details of expenditure for In Living students are attached
as Annex B.
Rules for In-Living Students . In-living students are required to abide by
the following rules:-
No one is allowed to cook anything in his/her room.
Once a room has been allotted to a student, he/she is not allowed to
shift the room at his/her own. In case of a genuine problem, he/she may
request Officer-in-Charge (OIC) NUST Hostels for change of room.
All the students will sign the Room Inventory while taking possession of
a room. Later on, if any damage is caused to the furniture, room doors or
any other items placed /available in the room, the repair/replacement
charges will be borne by the occupant. Any other sort of damage to
hostel items will be borne by the student is responsible for that. A fine
may also be imposed on such type of events.
Playing cricket/hockey/football etc inside or within premises of the hostel
is strictly forbidden.
All students are required to keep their rooms neat and tidy as per the
rules and will prepare them for inspection being carried out regularly by
the senior students/warden/ college authorities.
Damage to plants/ flower pots and cutting of trees is strictly forbidden.
Students are not allowed to keep electric room heaters, electric kettle,
irons and air conditioners in their rooms.
Smoking, use of Naswaar/Narcotics and drinking of alcoholic beverages,
possession of morally and religiously objectionable material is strictly
prohibited in the college hostels. In case of any violation, a student will
be liable to strict disciplinary action/expulsion from the college with
information to the parents as well, on the very first instance of these
violations.
No student is allowed to keep any type of weapon/ammunition in his/her
room or anywhere in the college/hostel premises. Defaulters will be
expelled from the college on first occurrence.
Students living in hostels are not allowed to keep a car in campus
without prior permission.
No in-living NUST student is allowed to leave or enter the college after
2100 hrs.
If any student wishes to get his/her in-living status changed, he/she will
forward an application to his/her Officer-in-Charge Hostel and will
produce a copy of hostel clearance certificate before vacating his/her
room. He/she will also make entry to this effect in the Mess “In/Out”
register that he/she is no more a dinning member of the Cadet Mess.
All students are required to go through Mess Rules and abide by these
rules.
In case of non-payment of dues, mess facilities will be withdrawn without
any prior notice. Moreover, Departments and Exam Cell will also be
instructed to withhold results and student will not be allowed to take any
further exams.
No guests will be entertained in the hostel accommodation.
IN CASE AN IN-LIVING NUST STUDENT FAILS TO ABIDE BY THE
COLLEGE RULES, HE/SHE WILL BE GIVEN A WARNING;
SUBSEQUENTLY HIS/HER IN-LIVING STATUS WILL BE
CANCELLED.
Rules for In-living Female Students . Female students are required to
abide by the following rules:-
Parents are requested to provide list of addresses and list of phone
numbers of their relatives, where the student may be allowed to visit on
weekends/out passes on a separate page.
All girl students are supposed to be inside the hostel premises by 2100
hrs.
Visitors are not allowed to visit Girls Hostel. They can meet the students
in guest room at College Main Gate as per the timings given in college
instructions.
After class timing, office areas are out of bound for girl students, except
the specified shops and walk bead on the college circular road. Gym
facilities are available for female students on specified timings displayed
on the entrance gate of Gym.
Forbidden Items . Students are not supposed to bring following items in
the college:-
Animals/Pets.
Any type of weapon and ammunition/explosives.
Dagger or any similar weapon.
Visitors/Guests . All guests can meet their children/wards in the areas
earmarked for this purpose by the college. Following rules must be
followed:
All in-living NUST students are allowed to receive their guests only on
weekends and gazette holidays during the prescribed time.
Under NO circumstances, guests are allowed to visit or stay in NUST
Hostels /accommodation.
Vehicles of guests are not allowed to move beyond the general car park
near college main gate.
Regular classes will commence with effect from 10 Oct 2016. Classes are
scheduled from 1730 hours to 2030 hours as per the training programs which are
uploaded on college web site as well as displayed on the notice boards of your
departments.

and each of us and heirs, executors and administrators to abide by terms and
conditions of NUST after having been selected against "civilian student of NUST" seat
at the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
During studies,I as a trainee shall abide by the college discipline and rules,
