Participants will have opportunities to produce videos and film clips, short film / music documentary and radio shows. Students will also be involved in recording an EP, creating electronic music and managing websites. Students will map out a career pathway in the creative industries. Students will learn to use a range of software and tech equipment: Studio-one (Pre-Sonus) / Ableton Live / Garage Band / Pro Tools / Inkscape / FL Studio / WIX / 16 Channel Allen and Heath Analog Mixing Desk / 16 Channel Digital Allen and Heath Mixing Desk / 40 Can Light Show / Various sized P.A systems and more… LMA/Circuit Time Records Performances: Minimum of 15 performances Students will participate in a range of events throughout the duration of this course. Special Requirements: Students will need to bring their own laptop, which has Internet connectivity. Completion of this course can lead into each of the following study options: CUA40915 Certificate IV in Music industry, CUA50815 Diploma of Music Industry, CUA60515 Advanced Diploma of Music Industry or Bachelor of Music. Structured Work Placement: 40 hours required for assessment - To be negotiated with each participant. Participants will choose an area of interest within the music / entertainment / technology industry and attend the equivalent of one week’s work experience.
