OBJECTIVES

To promote and protect the interest of members of the Association in their conduct of business operations;

To provide a centre for learning resource in risk management and for members to meet regularly;

To be the premier body in developing and sustaining best practices and high competencies in risk management in Nigeria.

MISSION

To facilitate the creation and sustenance of credible risk management practices; through proactive advocacy, capacity building, knowledge sharing, promotion of high professional standards and corporate governance.

To do and otherwise engage in training, manpower development and indigenous capacity building in the field of risk management and to award professional certificates in risk management to persons that it deems fit and qualified;

VISION

To establish and maintain an Association of financial and non-financial services providers, energy providers and individuals engaged in the management of financial, non- financial and correlated risks;

To promote and develop on behalf of members public relations programmes designed to inform the general public about the risk management profession and to give a proper appreciation of its functions and problems;

To do and carry out studies, surveys, seminars, lectures, investigations, research and other forms of information and or in collaboration with other persons for the purposes of developing, reviewing and upgrading codes of practice and standards for risk management practice;

To establish a general fund through subscription and any other fund raising activities for the maintenance and promotion of research into risk management practices and related matters and in financing any of the objects of the Association;

To provide for research into risk management and kindred matters and to award professional risk management certification on its name or in partnership with other bodies to members and provide them with information on developments in professional thought and methods both inside and outside Nigeria;

To collaborate as appropriate with government and other regulatory bodies in formulating policies pertaining to risk management practice;

To formulate and maintain standards of conduct for members and to encourage professional risk management practices;

To confer, consult, maintain, contact with and cooperate with any persons, associations, societies, institutions and bodies of persons established in Nigeria or elsewhere having objectives in whole or part similar to those of the Association in respect of matters within the objects of the Association;

To provide facilities for the flow of information among members;
