Congratulations to RMT and TSSA strikers and to those ASLEF drivers who respected picketlines. Strike saw: no Central line service through central London; Waterloo & City line closed allday; LUL had to draft in ‘Ambassadors’ and even Directors to keep stations open; ‘strongest strikein memory’ on stations, trains, service control and revenue control.

“Following the suspension of the strike action, Iand RMT representatives attended two meetingswith LUL management to discuss arrangements forthe seven weeks of talks that we agreed.
“Talks will take place on the following themes: Health & safety Job roles and selection Equality impact Station-by-station review of ticket offices,
staffing and categorisation
“I have made it clear that the union is still indispute over the Fit For The Future - Stations plansand all threats to jobs. RMT is campaigning againstand will resist the cuts that drive these attacks.
“There are two meetings of the Joint WorkingParty (JWP) next Tuesday and Thursday. We willreport back after these meetings.”
