CRIP Competitive Retailers Information Portal

Competitive Retailer Information Portal (CRIP) CRIP is owned by CenterPoint Energy, and CenterPoint Energy retains all proprietary rights to CRIP. CenterPoint Energy and the Competitive Retailer (CR) / Retail Electric Provider (REP), who is our Customer, are both required by the Customer Protection Rules within the Substantive Rules Applicab le to Electric Service Providers, to protect specific proprietary End-Use Retail Customer data associated with a specific ESI-ID / Service Address, and shall not allow unauthorized persons or entities to view or otherwise have access to this information. Users must agree to the Terms of Use to access any proprietary End-Use Retail Customer information contained within CenterPoint Energy's CRIP system.

CenterPoint Energy Competitive Retailer Relations Home Page

The Homepage includes the Login path to the Non-REP Third Party Historical Request/LOA, “Request Access” and “Forgot Password” Features.

FORGOT PASSWORD If a User requires Password assistance, select Forgot Password. The user will be prompted to provide their Email Address and the password will be sent to the user via email.

LOGIN Input required Email Address and Password (provided by assigned administrator) and click LOG IN.

REQUEST ACCESS The Request Access feature allows users to select their affiliated organization and after selecting continue; an access request will be sent to the organization’s assigned administrator.

ONLINE AGREEMENT Upon logging in, please read the Online Agreement for important CRIP access information. You must agree to the Terms of Use to access any proprietary Retail End-Use Customer information contained within CenterPoint Energy’s CRIP system.

The first time you log-in and accept the ONLINE AGREEMENT, confirmation of your acceptance will appear upon accepting the online agreement; you will have the option available to print the Online Agreement for future reference.

HISTORICAL USAGE REQUEST/LOA (NEW) Click on the HISTORICAL USAGE REQUEST/LOA link on the left side of the screen, it will bring you to the page below.

HISTORICAL USAGE REQUEST/LOA (NEW) cont. • Fill out the required information on the LOA request form • Check the authorization box • Click Submit

HISTORICAL USAGE REQUEST/LOA (NEW) cont. • Review and select ESI-IDs • Check authorization box • To cancel without submitting, click cancel

HISTORICAL USAGE REQUEST/LOA (NEW) cont. Once confirmed, a “submit message” will verify your LOA request has been made. You will receive an email with the historical usage data requested.

CHANGE PASSWORD The CHANGE PASSWORD link gives individuals the ability to independently change their password.

Enter Current Password and New Password and Confirm New Password

Select SUBMIT

CR Administrator Options: Below are additional options only available to the Competitive Retailer assigned Administrator

VIEW USERS Available to Organization Security Administrator only

The View Users displays user details and also provides an option to the “View”, “Modify” & “Delete” Select View to review user details which includes - Name, Email Address, whether or not the user is Administrator, Last Login of users, and whether the account is locked. The Administrator may also View user details, Modify user details, and Delete a user. NOTE: Select view - scroll to the bottom of User Details and select Modify to unlock Users and Administrators.

ADD NEW USER The Administrator will select “ADD NEW USER” option to create User Login Access

The assigned administrator will assign the original user Password.

VIEW ORGANIZATION DETAILS This feature allow to view/verify the organization information.

MANAGE ORGANIZATION This option selection will allow the assigned administrator to change the administrator contact information in the Login Instructions.
