CENTER FOR AUTISM AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (CADD)-HENRY FORD HEALTH SYSTEM Patient-Centered Care Henry Ford Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) is a comprehensive center that offers a variety of assessment and intervention options for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities from birth through adolescence. At CADD, children and their families will have access to diagnostic, intervention and support services that will meet each child's unique developmental and medical need, which include: Diagnostic/Feedback Sessions, Applied Behavior Analysis Intervention Program, Speech and Language Services, and a Social Skills Group. Diagnostic/Feedback Sessions CADD offers each child a one day, multi-disciplinary evaluation with a team of Henry Ford Health System experts. Each team could include a Developmental Pediatrician, Genetic Counselor, Geneticist, Pediatric Neurologist, Pediatric Neuropsychologist and Speech- Language Pathologist. After the diagnostic session, the feedback/consultation session gives children and families the opportunity to meet with one or two CADD staff members. During this session families have the opportunity to review diagnostic evaluations, develop a specialized intervention/treatment plan, and help secure support and advocacy services as needed Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Intervention Program This program will teach children to learn functional skills utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis techniques. The program models the most current evidence- based treatments that individualize each child’s program based on skill deficits and behavior excesses. Center-based, home-based, and school- based services will be provided based on the needs of the patient, and to facilitate the ability for the child to generalize skills across environments. The ABA programs will supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analyst, which will include intensive 1:1 teaching, group skill learning, and hands on parent training concurrent with all programs. Speech and Language The Division of Speech-Language Sciences and Disorders is dedicated to providing the highest level of clinical services, supported by education and research, to children and adults with communication and swallowing problems and their families and caregivers. Outpatient services include adult services, SpeechEasy Fluency Program, pediatric services, and Voice Disorders. Inpatient services are also provided. Social Skills Group The Social Skills Group will provide an extra learning program for children that obtain deficits within the repertoire of social skills. Topics to be taught include conflict avoidance and resolution, appropriate expression and communication (assertiveness), empathy and understanding others, general manners and social rules, self- control of moods and emotions, and making/keeping friends. Patient-Centered Care Henry Ford Center for Autism and Developmental

Disabilities (CADD) is a comprehensive center that

offers a variety of assessment and intervention options

for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and

developmental disabilities from birth through

adolescence. At CADD, children and their families will

Diagnostic/Feedback Sessions
