Business Interoperability Interfaces for public procurement in Europe (CEN WS/BII)
BII is a workshop within CEN BII supports EU-wide interoperability: the ability to exchange
business information effectively Our members are procurement experts from EU public and private
sectors which contribute to define common requirements
CENWS/BIIBII guides implementation of standards
The focus of BII is on collecting European requirements and to provide guidance for consistent implementation of existing international standards.

A Profile is a technical specification describing:
the choreography of the business process(es) covered,
the electronic business transactions exchanged as part of the business process,
the business rules governing the execution of that business process(es), its business collaborations and business transactions, as well as any constraints on information elements used
the information content of the electronic business transactions exchanged, documented in the form of transaction Information Requirement Models based on a common vocabulary of business terms.
