Gloucester Crematorium is a place where you can leave a legacy and create a lasting memory of a loved one.
Where treasured memories are kept and your keepsake will become part of Gloucester
Crematorium forever. The Crematorium Chapel, Mulberry Wake Room and Willows Tea Room are set in an area of more than 65 acres, planted extensively with cherry and rose trees. This gives an beautiful setting for burial or scattering of cremated remains and for quiet contemplation.
Gloucester Crematorium has adopted the Charter for the Bereaved and aims to provide services to meet the social, ethical and environmental needs of the community. As a complement to these services, we offer a wide choice of memorials.

Two small kissing gates are located either side of the main gate and are open 24 hours a day.

The Arbor

The Arbor building is comprised of two hospitality suites. The Mulberry Room and The Willows Tea Room. The suites provide a tranquil, yet modern setting for families to gather and celebrate the life of a loved one. The Mulberry suite is available for groups of 30 up to 80 people and is fully equipped with a multimedia system where photographs and music of your choice can be played. The Mulberry suite has a fully licensed bar which is stocked with a wide range of bottled beers, ciders and wines.
We have a choice of menus available for wake bookings and you can contact the staff to discuss any requirements for your booking including dietary requirements. You can contact The Arbor staff on 01452 396705 between 09:00am and 4:30pm or email [email protected] where one of our staff will be happy to help.
The Willows Tea Room is a bright and airy space which can be reserved for smaller groups of up-to 20 people. We can also cater for private functions from 30 to 40 people where, the tearoom would be closed to the general public. Please note, if you wish to cater for up-to 20 people, the tearoom would remain open for members of the public to visit and there would be a section of the Tea room reserved for you and your guests.
The willows tearoom is open to the general public Monday-Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and offers a range of freshly brewed Coffee and Teas, sandwiches, toasties, soup and handmade cakes. We do have highchairs and baby changing facilities and are able to heat food if required.

Ordering Memorials
When someone dies you may wish to commemorate them with a memorial. There are a wide range of memorials available at Gloucester Crematorium. We are here to help you choose the right memorial for your loved one. Our memorials are for 20 years, 50 years or lifelong.
Please note, all our memorials have a unique code. Please use relevant codes for ordering within each section of this brochure.
Once you have chosen the memorial you would like to purchase, please use the relevant form for your selection and place a tick in the box.
Complete the form with your inscription, name, address and telephone number.
Once you have completed the form you can either e-mail it via [email protected], or visit our offices.

How to remember a loved one.

20 Year MemorialsOur 20 year Memorials can be placed in one of our beautiful gardens of your choice. When the 20 years expire, we will inform you in writing and give you the option to renew for a further 20 years.
A. Boutonniere Wall PlaqueOur Boutonniere plaques offer families a choice of a cameo photograph, a motif and a colour inscription in addition to text. A small posy holder lies next to the plaque to allow for a floral tribute
B. Single Bronze Kerb Plaque Single Bronze Kerbside plaques measuring 6” x 4” are fixed to the footpath kerbs around one of our beautiful lawns that surround the gardens of remembrance. Situated behind the footpaths are gravelled areas to allow you to leave floral tributes for your loved one.
C. Double Bronze Kerb Plaque Double bronze kerb plaques measuring 8” x 6” are fixed to the footpath kerbs around one of our beautiful lawns that surround the gardens of remembrance. Situated behind the footpaths are gravelled areas to allow you to leave floral tributes for your loved one.
D. Single Granite Plaque Single Granite plaques measuring 6” x 4” are fixed to the footpath kerbs around one of our beautiful lawns that surround the gardens of remembrance. Situated behind the footpaths are gravelled areas to allow you to leave floral tributes for your loved one. Granite plaques can also be tailored and made more personal by adding a motif. If you chose to add a motif you would need to ensure the length contains between 80 and 100 characters. Please note, an additional cost will be incurred for adding a motif.

E. Granite Book PlaqueOur striking Granite memorial books can
accommodate a 3“x 4” plaque with an inscription of your choosing. These books are set at end of the cedar garden and are a real focal point of the crematorium.
F. Single Bronze Tree Plaque Single Bronze Tree Plaques measuring 6” x 4”
are placed on a bronze stem to allow them to be placed around a purchased standard rose tree in one of our many beautiful Rose Tree gardens. If you wish to make the plaque bespoke, you can add a motif, reducing the characters from 65 to 55. Please note, an additional cost would be incurred.
G. Double Bronze Tree Plaque Double bronze tree plaques measuring 8” x 6” are placed on a bronze stem around a purchased Standard Rose Tree in one of our many beautiful rose tree gardens in memory of your loved one. If you wish to make the plaque more bespoke you can add a motif to the plaque, reducing the
characters from 130 to 120. Please note, an additional cost would be incurred.
H/I Single Granite Tree plaque Single Granite Tree plaques measuring 6” x 4” are placed on a stem around a purchased Standard Rose Tree in one of our many beautiful rose tree gardens around the crematorium. If you wish to make the plaque bespoke, you can add a motif to the plaque, reducing the characters from
100 to 80. Please note, an additional cost would be incurred.

L. Bronze Heart Plaque Single Bronze Heart shaped Plaque on a stem can be placed around a Flowering Tree or a Standard Rose Tree in one of our beautiful gardens. The heart plaque allows 50 characters to be inscribed.

N. Sanctum 2000Sanctum 2000 is a Granite memorial which allows a full inscription on a black granite tablet. The memorial allows up to two sets of cremated remains to be interred. You have the option to make the memorial bespoke for your loved one with a motif or a photo of your choice. Please note, an additional cost would be incurred.
P. Vase
A white Marble Vase Block
with an inscribed memorial
tablet. Each tablet can have two inscriptions and flowers can be
placed within the memorial.
M. Woodland PostOur Woodland Memorial post has
a sandstone finish with an oval shaped memorial plaque, which
can accommodate 100 engraved characters. Oval Memorial plaques
are available in three colours - black, gold or silver, with the option
to have a bespoke motif. Please note, an additional cost would be
incurred.

Native Hardwood Bench In the Cemetery and Crematorium you may choose to have a permanent bench where you can sit and remember a loved one.We have three different styles of 5ft Wooden Benches: Warwick, Windsor and Kenilworth. All of the benches can be engraved with 100 characters. Our Kenilworth Bench can be made bespoke with a motif of your choice carved into the middle panel. Please note, an additional cost would be incurred.
20 Year Memorials Benches
Granite Bench We offer a range of Granite Benches to mark the sense of loss, love and respect felt for a family member or friend. It provides a focal point of affection and remembrance as a celebration of a much cherished life. Colour and styles are bespoke to each individual. Please note, an additional cost would be incurred. When ordering a bench, you will be presented with a proof of the design for you to agree before we proceed with your order.

50 Year MemorialsOak Court GardensThe cremated remains garden allows a traditional burial of Cremated remains within the tranquility of a garden setting.
Two sets of cremated remains are able to be placed in the niche and covered by a granite tablet upon which the memorial inscription is cut.
This is a below ground memorial with a centre piece that displays attractive variegated heathers and gravel to ensure the area is appealing. In addition, the pathways are paved allowing disabled access to each memorial.
Life Long MemorialsMemory Lane Block Our memory lane block allows you to leave a legacy for a loved one.The blocks create a path where your keepsake will become part of Gloucester Crematorium forever.
Book of Remembrance The Book of Remembrance provides a simple, elegant and everlasting record displayed with a date of your choice. This record is kept forever.

Woodland BurialAs part of the millennium cemetery, we have created a woodland where loved ones can be buried.
The area is a permanent, protected habitat for wildlife and will encourage plants, insects and birds.The area is left in its natural condition to help attract wildlife and wildflowers.
As part of the green burial, biodegradable coffins are used. There is a wide range to choose from, including: willow, wicker, cardboard and papier-mâché. Solid wood coffins can also be used.
However, they must be made from a sustainably managed source.
Please note: Plastic, glass, ceramic or metal urns are not allowed to be placed in the woodland cemetery.
We also offer families the option to scatter cremated remains in our beautiful woodland section if you wish to remember your loved one in a natural environment
Should you wish to purchase a memorial for your loved one, a range of Inscribed wooden benches can be purchased from the Cemetery and Crematorium office.
