Uses
Cellflex is a compressible, non-extruding, bitumenimpregnated, fibreboard expansion joint filler suitable forforming joints between in-situ and pre-cast concretecomponents.
Forming structural expansion and separation joints in:

Description
Cellflex is a compressible joint filler manufactured frombitumen impregnated wood fibres. It is supplied in sheetform and is used to form and fill expansion joints in in-situand pre-cast concrete construction.

Specification clauses
The expansion joint filler as detailed shall be Cellflexsupplied by Fosroc and installed strictly in accordance withthe relevant Fosroc data sheet.
Application instructions
Where used to form an expansion joint in in-situ concrete,Cellflex shall be placed against the shuttering on theconcreting side before the pour begins. Copper nails may beused to prevent displacement in joints in suspended slabs.
Alternatively, Cellflex may be bonded to the existing slab orprevious pour using a suitable adhesive such as Plastisealor Construction Adhesive.

Limitations
Cellflex must not be used in joints where any subsequentjoint sealant is other than bitumen based. The mobilefractions of the bitumen in Cellflex are likely to degradeelastomeric sealants.

Storage
As with all organic materials there is a very slight risk ofspontaneous combustion if stored long term in wetconditions. Store under cover, in the dry.

There are no health hazards associated with Cellflex innormal use.

Additional information
